It has become increasingly sad to me that we live in a society that is hell bent of placing Labels on Everything. If one were to have a view then that view best be in agreement with the norm OR one would risk being labelled Crazy Right Wing OR Loony Left Wing. It matters little to me which is labelled it is the divisions that are caused as a result of such labelling.
There was a time when one could hold a view on something and either be accepted or not, but that person rarely are lebelled as a result. I grew up with a mindset that mankind is without colour as seen in the so called norm’sof today. One is labelled as Black or White, BUT I fail to even consider adhering to such so called norms. All are people, not to be labelled as one colour or the other.
There is also a growing tide within media to label a view that is not of the views that the media organisation, then such are labelld as Crazy Right Wing or Right wing OR a host of other such terms.People and media are growing more and more unacceptable of anothers views. regardless of the view one being labelled to display them as outsiders in regards of their views. One has become unacceptable of a persons views or of that person when they voice something differ than the so called norm.
This is where todays poem comes in. This is what I seek to address such a topic within todays poem. The time when different opinions can be voiced without such demeaning labels has disappeared.
Please enjoy this poem.

Labelled Walking through the avenue few on queue, Pondering and laundering thoughts neβer new. Wings appear on words no fear I yet hear, Label the bottle find the clue my dear. Bring forth your tune soon masters will label, Stand to be judged oβer the coffee table. Stand and cheer, bring some beer judges bring you fear, The poison chalice now labelled so clear. Walk as believed all shall be labelled soon, Dare to differ yet sing to another tune, A label shall be cast and marked to see, Stand on the pulpit declare you case free. Dare to differ but differ if you dare, Fly with the wing preferred then none shall glare. Free to choose from a team of one, go seek, The label awaits The Crazy Wing, speak. What happened the loving kind free of hate, Where goes the accepting crew embrace fate. The marriage of the one voiced state with holds, Crazed marked and silently sit outside folds. This post an other such posts are meant to highlight an issue or to bring such forth to consider and chew over. For us to consider If we are doing justice for humanity or are we taking society beyond a mark we have never gone before. Does anything need readdressing. Do we have to accept a view that offends so many or do we yet again change direction.
In finishing, please stay safe, take care and show a little loving care to those in society that are in need of a little loving care.
Until next time Cheers..

Well said, no one seems to be able to listen openly to a different point of view.

Thank you. I was afraid that few would ever catch on to this important point. It is always important to be able to listen to a view that one would disagree with, Thus in return being able to formulate a view that should better that.

What if an individual can act out how one-self owns insecurities of unatural existence of self without individual even actually knowing.. π

That is quiet an interesting question that requires more thought from me.
As a teenager I was unsure how to recact to or deal with someone with special needs.
Looking back now it was a lack of knowledge and experience thus no education in that regards on a social scale. BUT IN July 1996 my youngest child was born with complex needs both physical and in every other way. He required full time care from us. We took him as if he were anyother child, and thought our other kids how to look out for him etc including care for him when experiencing Seizures. They each jumped into this all eager for that.
Thus I learned through my own lifes lessons and left any reservations at the door and looked out for children first. I guess what I am saying is my feelings on special needs was challenged on a most personal level and the labelling that came with such a child.
In the past number of years such a challenge in now to deal with the loss of such a child.
But again great question..

I’ve found a few people here on WordPress capable of real honest conversations without labels. It’s refreshing to be able to say, “I don’t understand where you are coming from, but I want to.” If people would talk to each other, they would find we all fundamentally want the same things.

Thank you Bridgette, This poem was aimed ataddressing a few issues with the one poem.. In one way we have political peoples and media labelling their opponents as right wing Like it was an outcast person it comes from or from someone evil etc.. They use labels to excuse away those they disagree with rather than discussion. On another side we have a society that places labels on others for a variety of things, that in fact help hinder those people rather than aiding them… But in the end it is helping people to discuss disagrements rather than label them as whatever they see fit.
Thank you as always for your support.

Great poem as always. I wish we weren’t so divided

Thank you, Sadly media organisations are dividing people with their pushed views. I guess keeping people divided makes some very rich indeed.

I think we learn to label from our youth. Public school, which I wiill always encourage people to home school, creates lessons as such, and the media does the rest. To think for one’s self, honestly, and thoughtfully, is better.
