Not being one who functions well in what I feel to be extreme heat, I struggled today for many hours to sit for long enough and compose. Here we have seen temperatures reaching 30 degrees celcius. I realise that very many will look at that and laugh. BUT on an island like Ireland where weather differs and such high temperatures are rare, There are some of us who struggle. I am one of those and would be happy to take this struggle on so that others enjoy that which they enjoy, This sunshine.
After a few hours I finally got down to composing on a topic that I felt was to envelope my poem for today. Basically I wished to set this topic clear and yet have more that a few gems to chew on.
Having said that Please enjoy as best as you can. As my hope is some enjoy this even if the topic is outside of their wishes as it were.
Ode to truth Standing on a precipice blind, Taking steps yet one of a kind. Searching all quarters for truth, Stay with the road receiving sooth. Satisfied where the road leads, Diluted results feed your needs. Bang on the drum of your footprints, Run the race without plan for sprints. Overload the cargo of your design, Set to sink beneath a sea of wine. Questions loaded captain planned, Raise the sails without your hand. Many sail seas of life loaded full, Of dreams packed wrapped in wool. Questions loaded to battle all lies, Sailing onward keeping eyes off the prize. Who lives yet doubts claims his reward, One who denies all may yet cut the cord. Half truth remain No steps gained, When little advance but all drained. © Pat Fitzgerald 2022

A friend, who is a minister and business owner (Often used profits from his business to keep the church open.) once said doubt is a person. Down the road, I think I understood. I understand that there is a beginning to all of creation, that right before creation, none of what we see existed. Then, I remembered in the bible that God is the truth. Nothing exists without Him.

True words, But I have heard so many times of people who say they searched for turth etc.. BUT in the end I noticed that they settled for half truths.One can search for such things, BUT so often get blinded by the shiney reflective half truth..
