Golden

Introduction:

Following the last post on this blog, I was very unhappy with the poem I had posted. Because I always wish to place the best possible standard for a poem. BUT the last one was such a poem that needed to be shared, even when that standard was below by wish for it.

When pondering on what to write todays poem about, all while on a walk which I like to take alone with the silence of nature (I have always called it silence of nature, because of my hearing impairment). But my thoughts kept wandering back to scenes from my walk.

This is where todays poem came into being, a little painting in words of my walk. But I added a little extra here and there for poetic purposes. To walk and enjoy nature, from the sounds of the streams to the birds in the trees, such are the beauty and sweet sounds of nature. For one with hearing issues, I enjoy such sounds that which I would never hear without the use of hearing aids.

In short, todays poem is a walk and in a way a walk with myself. The only difference is so much of this stream is a water canal system that takes over flow water from the main river through a wooded area and amongst ancient ruins, all is a thing of beauty.

About The Poem:

Because some poetry takes a heck of a lot of time, in editing and reediting, I decided a couple of weeks back to trim that work back a little, but mostly for enjoyment reasons. When writing becomes so much work in editing some of the love of that becomes a little less.

Todays poem seeks to take you on a walk, and I hope it will bring pictures to mind as you read and also walk along. Thus If you never get a reason to visit Ireland, the In mind and reasing this a tiny touch of scenery also rises to mind for you.

One such uplifting sight is always a little field that has become a playground for dogs that get to have a little run around with new mates off walking leash. Nothing brings a smile to me more than watching these beautiful creatures play about with delight. Such had to be placed in the lines of this poem, but a little poetic licence on areas to keep a picture more pure was used.

Having said all of this: Please enjoy this Poem.

Golden

In a glade of ancient trees, as sunbeams dance and play,
A winding path invites all on a trek through the day.
Where leaves of green and golden light, guides our feet,
Through lonely fields, as wildflowers bloom and sway to greet.

Beside a babbling brook, with waters pure and clear,
Walking with gentle steps, listening - to its cheer.
The stream's soft gurgling song, a melody in time,
That fills a heart with joy, Making my spirit climb.

Across fields of golden wheat, where dogs now play,
Joyful barks and wagging tails, a chorus on display.
Their frolicking forms, a blur of fur and grace,
As they chase and romp, an endless, joyful race.

The sun shines bright, such warmth upon our skin,
Walking along, lost in nature's peaceful spin.
The gentle rustle of leaves and chirping birds,
With laughter at dogs and babbling over words.

This path unwinds, a twisting ribbon of green,
Through woods, beside the stream, so pure and clean.
Walking ne’er talking, in this idyllic place,
Let the beauty of nature, spirits cleanse wth grace.

ENDING THOUGHTS:

Thank you for following me on this journey, This is my journey through composing and creating poetry. If Life is a journey which we all walk on, then my journey in creating Poetry is a journey of it’s own. Which I still learn much on as I write.

At times I experiment on methods or way how I can improve my poetry, therefore getting feedback is always most welcome for such as these.

In writing poetry some topics will either offend folks or a reader either may agree with a point or disagree with. I am Perfectly OK with how folks feel on some Poetry, even if they disagree with my views. But Poetry is a form of art work that I enjoy and thus using it in a manner to touch or inspire the reader.

I would like to Pass on my thanks to you for joining me on this journey.

Poetry for me is a constant learning curve that I always strive to improve. Often due to the speed of my typing and a few other issues, mistakes and typos will find their way into published posts. I continue to work on improving this as I move along. One such change is how I have been writing and how my poetry appears in relation to how the rest of the blog appears. So much work goes into editing and reediting and then repeating that process on a number of occasions until i am happy with the result.

Please forgive for any such mistakes and for your understanding this.
