Sitting this evening , aming to write on a topic that I had set on my mind. BUT as in times before I was never happy with the result that appeared before me. Thus I wandered about in the summer heat with an aim to find a new topic etc. In the end I merely sat and left the writing fill itself into being as it were. Such is todays poem, the end result of allowing the mind etc to flow on its own without restriction. Or at least as little restriction that I could permit.
Todays poem is set about and surrounding a typical summer morning when the sun was bright, little cloud in the skies and a country side setting, this is what I visualised for odays poem. BUT whether it reached that goal for readers, would be another question. Again no great topic in which folks would chew upon. But mere words set before you that formed the poem you find below.

Summer Mornings The clock on the wall kept time, As it always had without rhyme. Coffee now brewed I sat yet waited, Thoughts wandered as if baited. The sun beamed in the open door, Pondering on tasks ahead such bore, Dust that floated in the air created layers that formed designs as if fated. A light breeze brought light relief, The heat had begun to bring grief. The open window behind me did help, Very little carried me through with a yelp. Stepping out amongst the birds that feed, From tables set in the garden, such need, In a setting fit for smaller creatures right, Little danger posed they wander in sight. With camera set to capture activity poised, Sitting beside it I waited yet wished to avoid. Breakdown of silent thoughts raced by, Silent mornings that helped my creative ally. Β© Pat Fitzgerald 2022

Loved this Pat:
A light breeze brought light relief,
The heat had begun to bring grief.
The open window behind me did help,
Very little carried me through with a yelp.

Lovely. My favorite part:
The clock on the wall kept time,
As it always had without rhyme.
Coffee now brewed I sat yet waited,
Thoughts wandered as if baited.
Thanks for the follow at goodthoughtsgoodlives.com. Followed you back.
Blessings.
