Clarification

I sat in my office today with a post in mind for a poem in mind. But as the poem as per usual resulted in a very different direction to where I had wished for. I decided to remain with the poem I had completed and with a little change or two I should have a post that suits.

I often write with a set topic in mind and on other occasions I write a poem and post with very little explaination as to what I was aiming at in the poem. Thus leaving it to the reader to decide for themselves what the poem is about. But in doing a post this way, A reader will often come up with a meaning and topic that differs so much to that which I had in mind or what the poem is about.

For me as a poet I don’t mind very much if a reader finds something very different in the poem to that which I have in mind in the poem. This is one such poem, It is up to the reader to find something that fits for them within this poem. There is a set topic that I have in mind, BUT prefer at thispoint to allow folks to find their own way through the poem. I hope that folks will enjoy.

Clarification


Mounting steps quantified selected,
To clarify where one stands perfected.
Question to believe or deny applied,
One selects to join this party of the bride.


Further to seek one grinding gears,
Discovered to guide and overcome fears.
Flying beyond expected norms yet crawl,
For at times the marathon hits a wall.


Some call to obey the shepherds horn,
Confusion alive shepherds trample the corn.
Ring the bell harvest cancelled for a time,
Does the chief cut losses and start the climb?


Sleep for moments decline the account,
Pause for snacks believe publicity to count.
When sheep grazing and shepherds posing.
Safe for now when wolves are dozing. 


Building a wall behind the fence to dance,
Make it tall avoid the battle in advance.
Clarify for two between your deeds cheap,
Silently step beyond the gap all will sleep?
