Mindless

Feeling a little under the weather I needed time to discover a little creative juice. Thus using words and placing them together within a poem to find what hidden messages can be found. But truth be told, todays poem is one such poem that has been placed together without any hidden message or with an intention to store within the lines a message full of gems.

Fact is this is one such day that I have placed a poem for the sake of writing. If it ends with a message for the reader then I am delighted that some find gems within the lines of a creation that was composed without the flames of creative fire.

Regardless I do hope that some will find this poem enjoyable and possibly one that stands out. It is one that falls short of my goals as it were, but still deserves a place here.

Mindless
 

Cast the nets to attain fresh fields,
Where none will raise their shields.
Shoot the breeze arrest the time,
Cease to exist uncaring without a dime.



Cutting roots from thriving trees,
Appease entitled hoards with ease.
Masses gather for their feast of glory,
Like life’s unknown short story.



Love to apprehend controlling the beast,
That seeks to bask in eyes of the priest.
Returning to capture the heart of gold,
Set aside from reality living cold.



Little energy to restore days beyond,
Spawned from resistance without bond.
Creative minds testify time thus mend,
The latest trend arrested beyond he bend.




Writing mindless phrases to pass time,
Like long forgotten one hit wonders a climb.
Forget to seek and seek to forget the lost,
Forged in fire beneath smiling faces such cost.
