The Catacombs

When a discussion arose recently on the variety of thoughts that often spin about within my mind, brought me to a thought of another poem that in its entirity consists of what comes from and resides within my over active imagination and my mind.

In other words, todays poem is one that I put together from a mere thought and conversation with someone. Thus My mind is often like a Catacomb that goes on and on in all directions, creating a variety of ideas or poems from within.

The Catacombs

Enter the catacombs of my heart,
There no darkness shall yet start.
Hidden within admire the creators hand,
See the beauty of each and every land.

There you may see that which is my soul,
Is is possible to view yet be whole?
The labour of His hand beyond sight,
None can see beyond still now take flight.

Enter then the caverns of my mind,
Where you find that darkness left behind.
Words that spread like chains unbound,
Rivers of thoughts flow free is found.

Seek some more through my heart,
My passions clear from every part.
Find me where birds come to feed,
What I see is no ones living creed.

Come dance in streets lined with gold,
As the beat of my heart is never cold.
The weavers web tangles not its prey,
In the paths of my mind you’ll go astray.

These lines are relatable, our minds know bi limit when it comes to thoughts, and there left the darkness we choose not to expose. Interesting poem and lovely👏
