The Sea of Love

Once more I continue my journey of composing poetry in the form of sonnets. My desire is to find, amongst other reasons, a sonnet style and rhyming method that fits how I wish to write. It is my perfectionist self that seeks to learn and use styles and methods that best work for me.

As the title states today’s poem is about Love, I have always fallen a little short in how I wish to compose a pretty good love poem or sonnet. There is no back story that fits this that could make it appear better. Except all comes from my wild imagination as it were. Thre have been many definitions regarding The Sea of Love, but I felt none could fit or benefit enough for including here. BUT I am certain some could find words that fits this best.

To sail the Sea of Love with your nearest and dearest Lovewould be a poem in itself and a love story in its own right. This composition of a Love sonnet stems from many years of longing to pen such a sonnet that carries beyond the poets pen to the hearts of lovers. At the very least it is a dream of this poet to do this and compose a poem that stands out as being rather good and worthy of reading, inspiring or touching hearts. Please enjoy the poem below.

Sea of Love



Storm winds blow cast not fears glove,
Step beyond lonely desert sands,
To where one solo ne’er dare stands.
As oceans wide lead to sea of Love. 


When a heart burns bright loves flame,
Sail past desires fires through storms,
Thus to seas where none yet conforms. 
Let us sail oceans before passions tame. 


Watch as moon light nights guide the way,
To where the sea of love awaits love, 
There stars at night envelope from above.
Beloved the sea of love awaits to stay.


Sail with me to the sea of love once more,
Where we shall abide beyond a distant shore.
