On most occasions when I publish a poem on this blog, I also add foreword or background information and any other such information that I believe would aid the reader to better understand what that poem is about.
But on this occasion and as in a few other times, I am NOT going to include any such information or back story that would help a reader understand the poem. Instead I wanted to allow the reader to find their own meaning and even discover what the poem is about.
I think there is a little fun included in reading a poem and then trying to find where the poet was going with a piece etc. Every reader may find their own pathway in the poem they read and I believe that this one should be no different in that case. It should be a case of how many have the same meaning and other pieces out of the poem.
I still experiment in my writing poetry and playing about with topics and which is best to hide such in writings for a reader to discover. Also It is an enjoyment to me to find that readers often find their own meanings and what the poem carries for them. That is something that brings such satisfaction, in knowing folks find such in my writings. Even if I may OR may not agree with such insight. It is what a reader finds in a piece that matters most.

Finding Loves Prayer Simplified, I am lost without your Love, It takes a shove, a push to look above, The Situation and survive this day, I grin to win reprieve to count and weigh. Silence fills all shadows I now walk in, Truth will win each time I stop to begin. Faithful desire come inspire me again, As the music dies life here starts to drain. Surrounded by uncaring masses here, Waiting and wishing for a little cheer. I walk the tight rope of life now alone, Spinning a bottle to seek and atone. If I am beyond redemption and lost, I’ll seek the highest place at any cost, To declare you my light for ever more, For all else still here and always abhor. Standing here against the wall in this rain, To abstain again, I‘ll attain again. © Pat Fitzgerald 2023
