In the Quiet, Sacred Place

In sitting down to compose today’s Poem, I sat for some time recalling the many times I visited a lookout spot some miles from where I gew up. So many memories flowed into my mind from the views and Natures sights that unfolded before us in the daylight and the night sky Lit Up the landscape of towns and villages for miles around that shone up like little lights on a tree.

Such was the basis of todays Poem, I recall the hard trek uphill as a young fellow always amazed at the beauty that lays in this area. Thus it struck me how lucky we are to live in a world of such beauty and Natures amazing Beauty that displays for us. It never ceases to amaze me of Natures Beauty and the untold beauty that iis in this area.

About The Poem:

Composed with Aa, Bb rhyming in mind with as much alliteration as I could to make the poem flow better in a musical type feel. I have come to enjoy composing Poetry that flows easily with the rhyming and alliteration that seems to flow easily from it.

This Poem means a lot to me for the memories alone that has flowed from it for me. The youthful days trecking about there has been a joy to behold and the views from there would fill the dreams of any person who trecks there.

There are many who would read this and maybe recall their own special go to place that holds many memories for them. I am now many miles from this area and wish for a time when I could revisit such a glorious area again. But these days it is filled with Mountain Bike routes and riders that combined with walkers, it has become a rather busy time dudging a bike rider going at speed down hill. Yet sitting on a spot I used to sit for hours it seems deep in thought while looking out at the views below.

It is an area I would always recommend for folks who do the previous Mountain Bike routes etc.. BUT for me treking around such areas is a more relaxing method of going..

Having said all that I could on this; Please Enjoy This Poem:

((I continue to use AI to create Images to suit my poetry because it saves me much time from searching through very many photographs or images that could work for Poetry,. I tried to find a photograph of this area that would suit, But no luck in finding anything that would work, also AI presented much less as ppotentuial, So I opted for the best of the rest from AI. Credit etc and copyrite etc goes to AI or where it should go.))

In the Quiet, Sacred Place

Steady steps on stony slope I rise,
Along the gravel gleaming 'neath the skies.
Breezes brush the bending birch with song,
Birds in bright assemblies lead along.

Clouds drift clear across the cresting blue,
A valley vast awakens into view.
Pines stand patient, pointing toward the height,
Pathways worn by wanderers in their might.

Resting briefly, breath and thought entwine,
Rays of sun through scattered branches shine.
Then the towering Black Rock crowns the height,
There the world below is bathed in light.

Village roofs lie resting, red and small,
Valleys spread in splendor, seen by all.
City spires in silver distance gleam,
Called across the haze like half a dream.

Yet in the hush, where height and stillness meet,
Yearning heart finds holiness complete.
Nature whispers wonders, calm and kind,
Noble truths that stir the soul and mind.

Fields and forests, far and near, proclaim,
From hidden hollows beauty speaks the same.
Everywhere the earth bears HIS face,
Even in the quiet, sacred place.

Stepping slowly, stones beneath me sound,
Sunlit thoughts still linger as I bound.
Downward drifting, heart is light, not lone,
Day’s bright blessings carried as my own.

    1. Thank you, I was however unable to get a photo of the actual spot, but it is just as peaceeful as the one shown with the Poem. The Climb for the trek up was in a village and goes up 600 meters into pure nature at best.. honestly a great place. thank you again.

  1. Nice work! Groovy poem! 🏄‍♂️I’m not sure I have ever read such an extended content introduction for one blog poem before, but it is interesting to contemplate the thoughts engaged with writing verse. 💯

    1. Thank you, This is something I do for pretty much all of my Poetry.. I like to read poetry where I can tell something about the background or what leads to the poem, Thus I compose and writr the introduction to each Poem that gives an insight to the Poem.
