Endless Sea

In composing the Poem for this post, I was determined to contniue along the same lines as the previous post, That is using the thought that speaking of a woman one loves and the Land they love in the same Poem. That is to use language normally used to speak of a woman, would instead be used to spak of the Land they Love. To the point where the reader would not be very certain if one spoke of the Land or The Woman. But this is not always how a Poem turns out when the finished work sits before you.

About The Poem:

As a part of wishing to perfect or come close to perfecting writing a Love Poem that stands out. I wanted to expand this thought and use the same language that one used towards a woman. Or in fact the same terms used in reference to a woman as they would towards a Land they Love. Or in fact a certain landscape or area that holds great importance to them.

In my mind this could become a very clouded area, where one the reader may not be fully certain that the writer is speaking of a woman or a landscape! This has been my intended view in working on both the previous post and Todays Post. I am still not certain if is succeeded, because I feel like todays Poem took a road of it’s own that I left to it’s own created ends.

I would however welcome readers views on this part. Either way I believe that much needs to be done to even come close to this mark.

In todays Poem, One dreams and where such dreams carries him or her, is to a point that I wanted origionally wished to go. Thus setting on a point where a reader is not certain if a woman. But instead covers a thought of this person and the land about them were almost one and same. I believe that the thought of woman and love was avoided by the flow of this Poem.

Which was carried away by the current of the Poem itself, which did not come close to either of the two topics I wanted at first to be visited. This is how Poetry goes at times and I believe in going with the flow of a Poem. Even if (as in this case) a number of versions of this Poem was gone through, before settling on this completed version.

SO feedback will be most welcome on what folks think of this finished product. I may have to return to this project of Woman + Love + Landscape all in One Poem without direct mention of Woman.. This is not as easy a Project as I first thought and I believe it would be a Tough challenge for any Poets out there to try.

Having said all of this; Please Enjoy This Poem:

Endless Sea

Through the realm of dreams, I wander,
Where shadows dance, with light yonder.
Whispers of lost memories take flight,
And Echo through this mind's long night.

Like a river flowing with ease,
Drifting on the currents, that time sees.
No paths to follow, no steps chosen,
Just gentle moments left frozen.

In this great expanse, I was lost,
Yet found in, beauty that surrounds tossed.
The stars above, a tapestry found,
Weaving tales and secrets unbound.

Like autumn leaves, that rustle free,
Falling gently, carried by degree.
Their stories whispered, that settle slow,
On an earth, where love and laughter show.

In the stillness of this endless sea,
I am a drop, this moment's glee.
A fleeting thought in creations mind,
A tiny part of its grand design.

ENDING THOUGHTS:

Thank you for following me on my little journey, that is composing and creating poetry. If Life is a journey which we all walk on and my journey in creating Poetry is a journey of it’s own. Which I still learn much on as I write.

At times I experiment on methods or way how I can improve my poetry, therefore getting feedback is always most welcome for such as these.

When I write poetry, some readers may be offended with something within the poetry. I do not write to offend, But such are written for reasons I outline in the posts. Often I miss typos and mistakes when publishing each poem. BUT I correct the moment I discover such mistakes.

But Poetry is a form of art work that I enjoy and thus using it in a manner to touch or inspire the reader.

I would like to Pass on my thanks to you for joining me on this journey.

Poetry is a learning curve where I always strive to improve. Often due to the speed of my typing and a few other issues, mistakes and typos will find their way into published posts. I continue to work on improving this as I move along. One such change is how I have been writing and how my poetry appears in relation to how the rest of the blog appears. So much work goes into editing and reediting and then repeating that process on a number of occasions until i am happy with the result.

Please forgive for any such mistakes and for your understanding this.
