The First Raindrop

Recent weeks has been found to be very busy, yet I did not appear to achieve a whole lot to show for it. Yet time has always been found to write and composea little more Poetry. Today’s Title should strike curious mind and inspire them to look further. Such was the thought when I begun to compose todays Poetry.

About The Poem:

I wanted to compose another Love Poem, But instead of the usual find love, type of happy poem, I wanted to experiment a little with this one. Thus we have a Love that Fades, where one leaves the green hills of home to follow a dream as it were. Still the one left behind, finds the love that was in the green hills she left behind and almost haunted by that love, eventually look to that love a nd the green hills as being one and the same. Or so it appears, a Love that was shared together and for each other and includes an area, soon becomes a Love held by one.

It in itself still is a Love Poem and a Poem that speaks of Love in a number of areas and for more than one thing or person. Yet for me it is working on improving my style of Love Poetry to capture the minds and imagination of readers.

Having said all of this; Please Enjoy this Poem:

The First Raindrop

Past the first raindrop, she said Goodbye,
When a drop fell on her face in reply.
Her eyes reflected these green hills,
And Autumn hues that scatter thrills.

Goodbye oh, sweet love of my heart
Together our hearts did impart.
Yet she paused and said goodbye, there,
A bittersweet farewell despair.

The skies had wept, tears of sorrow,
Wishing time would beg, steal or borrow.
The wind whispered secrets, so true,
But alas dreams, she did pursue.

Past the first Raindrop, sadness waited,
For her love had since vacated.
But these green hills still hold my love,
And the wind that blew, now did shove.

Many Seasons dawned on these hills,
And silver Lined once youthfull spills.
Still Autumn paints this landscape great,
Yet thoughts wander to my sweet Loves gate.

Past raindrops that fall, I still compare,
Beyond the first drop that lands there.
For the mist covered hills retains,
A love that once shared all it’s stains.

ENDING THOUGHTS:

Thank you for following me on my little journey, that is composing and creating poetry. If Life is a journey which we all walk on and my journey in creating Poetry is a journey of it’s own. Which I still learn much on as I write.

At times I experiment on methods or way how I can improve my poetry, therefore getting feedback is always most welcome for such as these.

When I write poetry, some readers may be offended with something within the poetry. I do not write to offend, But such are written for reasons I outline in the posts. Often I miss typos and mistakes when publishing each poem. BUT I correct the moment I discover such mistakes.

But Poetry is a form of art work that I enjoy and thus using it in a manner to touch or inspire the reader.

I would like to Pass on my thanks to you for joining me on this journey.

Poetry is a learning curve where I always strive to improve. Often due to the speed of my typing and a few other issues, mistakes and typos will find their way into published posts. I continue to work on improving this as I move along. One such change is how I have been writing and how my poetry appears in relation to how the rest of the blog appears. So much work goes into editing and reediting and then repeating that process on a number of occasions until i am happy with the result.

Please forgive for any such mistakes and for your understanding this.
