This Mountain Trail

Over the past number of days I sat to compose the Poem I have placed below for today’s Post. I had a few short words in mind in which I wanted to compose a poem around, That Beiing ” A Mountain Trail”. Being one that Love to take walks in secluded and isolated spots, Like Mountain Trails. I wanted to create a Poem around that, But also wished to add a little taste of Love into the mixture.

About The Poem:

Have you ever taken a walk on a scenic trail with someone that you share your hearts desires with, the one with whom you love? Where the very scenery also catches the heart strings of love for such an area! It can become an area that strikes special memories for you, both for the beauty of that area and for the love by your side.

This is the aim that has been laid out on this poem. To become both a love poem and a poem that highlights the beauty of an area. As one Who loves to walk such areas, Anything that brings a positive eye to any such an area would be heartwarming. Imagine, walking winding paths, with Trees, shubery and all kinds of plant Life , almost hanging out a nd reaching out to greet you as you pass by. Imagine then the scent that is greeted as you pass by and a finishing touch, the love of your heart by your side.

That in itself would be any artists creation of beauty and would highlight any painting that would go on display. Instead for now we have this as an picture as you read this Poem. I do hope that my desired effect would be that as you read the words below, you will find yourself along with a love of your life with you as you walk such mountain trails, as you walk along winding, turning tracks, as plant life of all kinds, almost seem to reach out to wave gently at you feet. Imagine the wind blowing gently in your face.

Watch then as you look out over a beauty spot of great scenery again with that love at your side. How precious would that image be?

This is where this Poem comes into being!

       This Mountain Trail




Oh! Gentle love on Hillside tracks,
A winding trail an unseen tax.
That Calls you, with a gentle grace,
To follow, curves and find your place.


This beacon of love that shines bright,
A light that guides, in the darkest night.
It calls to you, like a tender voice,
To follow its lead, and make a choice.


Oh Emerald Isle, land of dreams,
With love and joy, like sweet streams,
That fill’s the air, with a fragrance,
For hand in hand, our hearts will dance.


My sweet love, still the one I seek,
The rhythm of leaves, gently speak,
Keeping time with the wind, thus free,
Where footsteps add, to their decree.


Let us now walk, this mountain trail,
Thus hand in hand, let love prevail,
For the joys we find, in this place,
Are the sweetest, in this human race.

ENDING THOUGHTS:

Thank you for following me on my little journey, that is composing and creating poetry. If Life is a journey which we all walk on and my journey in creating Poetry is a journey of it’s own. Which I still learn much on as I write.

At times I experiment on methods or way how I can improve my poetry, therefore getting feedback is always most welcome for such as these.

When I write poetry, some readers may be offended with something within the poetry. I do not write to offend, But such are written for reasons I outline in the posts. Often I miss typos and mistakes when publishing each poem. BUT I correct the moment I discover such mistakes.

Poetry is a learning curve where I always strive to improve. Often due to the speed of my typing and a few other issues, mistakes and typos will find their way into published posts. I continue to work on improving this as I move along. One such change is how I have been writing and how my poetry appears in relation to how the rest of the blog appears. So much work goes into editing and reediting and then repeating that process on a number of occasions until i am happy with the result.
