Misty Mountain Morning

Driving about a countryside, close to where I once called home (and still do in many ways), during a time I spent with someone, thus enjoying time together. Listening to stories they told of younger days. I was struck by the beauty that most miss out on when passing by. Our landscape about us is covered in beauty that captures us, when giving time in thought.

This morning in question, was a Misty rain covered day and the silence that surrounded was captivating to me. Thus the Thought for todays Poem came into being. Any stress or worries in such a time would be forgotten and made feel like nothing mattered at such a time.

In simple words, Today’s Poem came from spending some time with one whom I enoyed driving about listening to their stories about older days. It became almost strange to think that such little things and times could bring thoughts of such beauty that inspired today’s Poem.

About The Poem:

Being one who loves to check out where ancestors once walked, worked and lived, I could not have been more inspired to compose such Poetry. From my own eyes, my home area is a landscape littered with such beauty that would inspire any hopeful artist or writer. It is a landscape where rebels once risked life for love of their country and it’s freedom. It is also where my own ancestors walked and lived, this stirred within me and burns with pride.

But nothing compared with the beauty that can be seen beyond any roadway, town or village. Where the land and sky kisses and embraced in a show of it’s own pride and beauty. In fact I believe anywhere One roams, they will find a beauty that equals this, within their own land.

Thus I felt driven to write a little Poetry on this, But also I would hope it will encourage others to wander from their own nest and find such beauty about them. We are fortunate to live in something with such beauty, thus why not wander and explore this?

Having said all of this; Please enjoy This Poem:

Misty Mountain Morning

In this misty mountain Morning,
Grey clouds kiss the hills adorning ,
Walking solo, with a heart yearning,
For this beauty nature stills, turning.

The misty rain falls on my face,
As clouds and land combine in grace,
The solitude here, nothing beats,
Being where a soggy landscape greets.

Here all is quiet, save the sound,
Of those raindrops hitting the ground.
Yet strolling in the fresh, damp air,
Where cares and worries ne’er compare.

To a misty morning, soggy world,
I yet find, heart and soul unfurled.
Nature’s beauty, a solace and cure,
To wounds that life inflicts, thus pure.

Walking alone, in this misty rain,
Letting this beauty soothe my pain,
For this misty mountain morning,
Is found peace, and heart's adorning.

ENDING THOUGHTS:

Thank you for following me on this journey, that is composing and creating poetry. If Life is a journey which we all walk on, then my journey in creating Poetry is a journey of it’s own. Which I still learn much on as I write.

At times I experiment on methods or way how I can improve my poetry, therefore getting feedback is always most welcome for such as these.

When I write poetry, some readers may be offended with something within the poetry. I do not write to offend, But such are written for reasons I outline in the posts. Often I miss typos and mistakes when publishing each poem. BUT I correct the moment I discover such mistakes.

But Poetry is a form of art work that I enjoy and thus using it in a manner to touch or inspire the reader.

I would like to Pass on my thanks to you for joining me on this journey.

Poetry is a learning curve where I always strive to improve. Often due to the speed of my typing and a few other issues, mistakes and typos will find their way into published posts. I continue to work on improving this as I move along. One such change is how I have been writing and how my poetry appears in relation to how the rest of the blog appears. So much work goes into editing and reediting and then repeating that process on a number of occasions until i am happy with the result.

Please forgive for any such mistakes and for your understanding this.
