Operation Control

Introduction:

For the past couple of poems I have posted on here, I slowed down and took time to perfect what I set before you to read. I say perfect, but It should be more a touch of giving for you, the readers, a poem that has reached as best as I can set up and aside for all to read.

In short, I slowed down enough to wwrite what was in my mind for a poem and take it to it’s highest standard as I can possibly give. One of my biggest issues in writing poetry is that I find myself trying to speed up things and in the end give out poetry that could have been better in my view. Thus in the past few I have taken them to a standard that I hope reach a level pleasing to those who read my poetry.

I have thought of a variety of ways in which I could make things easier, a little smoother and edited as best that I could. But one that helps straight off is taking extra time to let the poem settle for an extra day and then edit with fresh light and of course extra time. Todays poem has been composed with this in mind and I am convinced that It keeps as close to a standard I hope is good enough.

About The Poem:

Todays poem contains one issue or topic that for me has been in cases almost at addiction levels. But while readers view the poem and even reading it over again, they may find themselves asking what it is?

In fact Most IF not ALL of us use one! Maybe on occasions we use two, BUT Upwards of 12 Billion Mobile connections in the world is a massive issue. YET How many can place their Mobile Phones Aside for a period of time and then carry out tasks or venture on a walk without having one with us?

As I sit here I have mine at the other end of this room, and I hope it will remain away from my person until it is needed, NOt for Games OR Social Media etc. BUT to carry out tasks wwithout The drug that is a mobile decice it a worryng sign. How many can sit at a coffee shop , enjoy said coffee and talk with others without a mobile device between us?

This is what todays poem is about! Front and centre it is MY own Fight back against what I call Operation Control, (ie. the Mobile Phone or Mobile device etc). Each day I walk 7 to 8 klm and used my mobile Phone for two purposes, ONE is to control and alter the levels and volume of my Hearing Aids. And the other is to Play a Music List that helps me to relax and clear my mind for writing.

In the opening Line of the poem I have written ”Operation control taking your soul,” This is the first hint that this poem hits at something that effects Most if NOT all. We give ourselves away to this with free will, But how many are aware or even care how it takes Creativity and often free will decisions. It takes peoples ability to converse away to a point we when seated for coffee will have one beside us or between us.

I believe that the over use wof such devices has taken much from people, BUT It is not something we will ever hear about, because It controls people in a manner that will be easier handle. Or I am merely one who thinks too deeply on issues. I will fall on my sword of placing that mobile device aside to do as much without rather than holding it as a crutch to converse or hide from conversations. This is an important part for me in my life given my past. This is something I mentioned in a previous post and to others in private.

But finding my creative side has been a trip that has brought wonders. How much more can be found If more took steps to free those chains.. In short this is what the poem is saying. Thus in finishing, If a reader takes this at heart OR more on a literature / poetic level, then that is their decision. But writing about it is and has been fun.

Having Said all of this. Please enjoy this Poem:

Operation Control

Operation control taking your soul,
Fighting Full effect it’s got no patrol.
Waking see thus clear, given now for free,
Where e’er you roam the rolling sea or three.

Operation control given away,
By the flowing sands of time, no survey.
Addiction overload still taking minds,
What’s left that reminds, a world seen one finds.

Operation control breaking your will,
With bucket list on hold, taking their fill.
A spectre of dreams last dawn now redrawn,
Battles won without a gun for their dawn.

Operation control few dare fight back,
Who doth spy with unbiased eye their stack?
Ne’er in black alone for you to atone,
Rise to the unknown and all you disown.

Operation control millions confess,
Fighting back taking less, who can express?
Turn it off before you explore and score,
Given free technical spree, Now restore!

Some of my poetry contain topics that at some point will or may not contain issues that readers either agree with or do not, or they have experienced or They will disagree with completely. YET that is completly fine by me. But Poetry is a form of art work that I enjoy and thus using it in a manner to touch or inspire the reader.
