Serenade Of Love

Following a day of writing, combined with a little mistake and a PC error that caused the loss of one piece of work, that was set for todays post. Which in turn resulted in my taking time out to compose a new poem to replace the one lost for eternity and use here on this post.

This is in few words the situations that occured leading up to composing this poem. But to try and describe what the “Serenade Of Love” is about may be a little harder for me to place into words here. BUT here is to trying!

I wanted to compose a poem that filled what the Fire of Love was when two hearts combine for eternity in LOVE. From the mountain top experience and feeling to soaring over the rivers of Love as it were. I think anyone who is within the flames of Love, will know what to place here and I hope will find words here that fit that experience.

Having said all of that, Please try to Enjoy this Poem:

Serenade Of Love

The sweet scent fills the air filled by desire,
Seeking the higher plane a singing choir.
That imagination dreamt up for love,
Where sights and sounds sprinkled ne’er with a dove.

Infatuation drives, two hearts on fire,
Drums beating on queue almost to admire.
Where passion takes them on heights they ne’er been,
Where he is king and she, his only queen.

As desire carries them o’er seas of Love,
Where nothing can impede and soar above.
There Love greets, warms, feeds and yet carry both,
Beyond all trials life sets before, thus growth.

It takes them o’er mountains high, even more,
The flames of love warms them to where they soar.
From the mountain tops to valleys below,
The fire e’er burns bright and their love will glow.

They will soar o’er the clear rivers of Love,
Where their hearts together fit like a glove.
Who would care, yet undying love forsake?
Time comes for all to hit a ground and break.

  1. Loved the backstory on this!! I had this same thing happen to me “once”. I have just written a piece about a poem/s that fill your head with words and/or just grow old and/or dusty on a shelf and never shared with the world. I titled it “Stillborn”. I finished it on my laptop and left for about an hour or so and forgot to SAVE IT like I do automatically most of the time. Well, fate intervened and that was the time that the laptop updated and I lost it. That still haunts me so I make it a point to continually save during the writing of a poem up to and including the finished poem. It’s a sad thing isn’t it, to lose a poem???
    Have a great day, Pat

    1. Like you said, Imaking it a point to save work has always been a MUST DO Point for me. But occasions do arise when we forget or never get about to saving and end up losing work.. It is a pain in the rear end to be certain.

      1. Yeah, that once in a million! Ha! I thought what was ironic about mine was that the poem was actually on the topic of a poem stillborn/unborn. Ha. Weird and a pain to be sure. I think they have a way to save as you go but you have to select it and I hadn’t.
        Have a great day!

  2. Reading over some of my replies I realised that there are a lot of typos. I need to slow down my typing and make certain I correct some before sending comments on in post. Sorry to all for such typos, I do type fast and fail to see them at the time of typing.
