Rats in the Machine

Sittiing here listening to a little music trying to find a way to explain my thoughts, IF any on why I would have a poem titles “Rats in The Machine”. I have ben striving to write on a couple of topics with a couple of words or a phrase in mind to run with and formulate a poem around this.

However I manage to surprise myself with the poem I completed BUT to explain things a little Or to have some form of foreword relating to this etc. Think of the Majority of People that walk this earth , those of us who either struggle for food, who struggle to maintain a living, who struggle to pay rent OR those of us who find life to be a struggle in one manner of another as mere rats in the amachine . The Machine that is this economic world climate of kill or be killed to make a living so to speak. (Not killing in the actual sence )

NOW If we are but rats in the machine and those who appear to Lord over us as the elite class who have no worry for food, rent or any other issue that we struggle with.. Therefore todays poem takes to task how we mere “Rats in the Machine” are looked down on almost with scorn or contempt.

It also tackles that life and humanity will be in a better position if some of those elite would come together as it were with the rest of humanity and then the true voice of humanity could be heard.

A mere case of wishful thinking. But this is what makes poetry so enjoyablke. One can create and provide a few gems for thought and in a hope that somewhere an improvement will be had.

Having said this much, Please enjoy this Poem.

Rats in the Machine

Yet, When we are but rats in the machine,
The Humanity that guides us unseen.
Between our world and theirs nothing dare dwells,
Unforeseen problems ne’er hinder or sells.

Wander the void where peace cannot abide,
No man survives the insane tide aside.
As words have failed to marry theirs to ours,
But with rats in the machine at all hours.

Aware when plain sailing on moonlit nights,
Unseen still rats that scurry got no rights.
Live your world as you have, absent lords lose,
Wave the rights, decide for two why excuse.

Those who step above humanity plea,
We stand on by none dare to count to three.
Sit in a palace eating free no cares,
Walk the streets hunger ne’er waits for repairs.

Come unite the tide, when the force is strong,
The bird song is always true all belong.
Pull back the curtains that divide, inside,
The beast that lurks devours all kinds, decide.
