This Lonely Road

This post was set for this past Monday, But time grew short and I could not finalise this post before today. Because Tuesday’s are days set aside for personal issues and I get to return home On Wednesday. In fact I am not very long back, thus to finalise this post and set it live.

In rcent times I get to revisit where I grew up, to look upon a road, a neighbourhood that once filled with Noise of children doing what they did when I was a child. But today, they are filled with Old and elderly people, as those same children grew up and left or sadly passed on.

This became a chance for me to look upon those times as one growing up in a Poetic view and to find something that could place it within poetry itself. To lay in a room that was my shelter from the outside world that was my old bedroom, now decorated freshly and diffrently looking, yet same ghosts and thoughts haunt there.

About The Poem:

This has been a poem I enjoyed working on this past week, because it brought me back to those days and those people that shared the same memories. Some sadly passed on and others spread world wide, yet some of their Parents remain until time itself catches up and they also are no more.Yet where friends once were many, now None remain except myself strolling on my own through memories. It has been a fond and happy enough stroll and I work to mark them here on Poem.

This Poem seeks to split a view within the lines and stanzas, from the eyes of a child (my own memories) and the older self melancholy in nature. It seeks to split the view to find a balance and find a more fond ending. Also to eventually work out that in the finish Life has victims and those who fall aloing the way, but fond memories, even painful ones are cherished for what they make us.

This is also a method for me to find ways to split narrators in such a manner, But I am still unsure how successful I have been, until I look back in a couple of weeks to see how readers feel on this work. Even if you cannot follow the paths that carry this Poem, please enjoy it as it is a Poem that looks back and balances between looking back and that of today.

Having said all of this. Please Enjoy this Poem.

This Lonely Road

In this, still silence of the night,
Not as it was, from a child’s height.
Sights or sounds ne’er, the very same,
Time flows swiftly by, to proclaim.

For therein silence lives its own,
Where all has grown but nothin shown,
Within the eyes, a child sees froze,
Sands that flow, memories expose.

Days once filled with laughter as kids,
Whose joyful song rang loud in grids.
These days only silence fills the night,
Nought left bright that e’er stills delight.

Standing at gaps where childhood eyes,
Wished for a goal or some old prize.
Thus many have come and yet stand,
Like those that roamed to One famed land.

Missed with tears, heartache or blessing,
These childhood eyes turned old impressing.
Yet this lonely road ne’er filled here,
Should this age end and they appear.

ENDING THOUGHTS:

Thank you for following me on my little journey, that is composing or writing poetry. If Life is a journey which we all walk on and my journey in creating Poetry is a journey of it’s own. Which I still learn much on as I write.

At times I experiment on methods or way how I can improve my poetry, therefore getting feedback is always most welcome for such as these.

When I write poetry, some readers may be offended with something within the poetry. I do not write to offend, But such are written for reasons I outline in the posts. Often I miss typos and mistakes when publishing each poem. BUT I correct the moment I discover such mistakes.

But Poetry is a form of art work that I enjoy and thus using it in a manner to touch or inspire the reader.

Thank you for joining me on this journey.

Poetry is a learning curve where I always work to improve. A lot of work goes into editing and reediting and then repeating that process on a number of occasions until I am happy with the result. This is how I operate in creating posts to share here.

Please forgive for any such mistakes and for your understanding this.
