Introduction:
At times when striving to piece a poem together, from the writing through the editing and onto the publishing, we find that the story or the resulting tale underneath the poem itself, over rides all. In other words, the poem carries a message become something more important than the poem itself.
This is such a case in regards to todays poem. I have tried all sorts to edit this poem, BUT in editing too much a whole lot and even much of the under laying story is lost. Thus I decided to let the under laying story remain on this case, at the risk of a better poem.
Therefore the usual readers will most certainly discover that, todays poem will not be at the level I wish poetry to be at, especially when it comes to poetry written by myself. But also readers will know that I like to place poetry together that carries an under laying theme or tale or a little message as it were for folks to think about.
About The Poem:
The poem today carries an under laying story or theme that I believe is an important one. especially at a time when media likes to push stories that cause stress and worry amongst people to say the least. Also with a whole lot of hatred and discord amongst people who could easily get along, if those with powers lay aside their greed and self importance would see it as fact.
I do not liuke to write on politics or issues that cause upset and anger etc. BUT todays one carries something that should be enough food for thought. As an irishman who is proud of “the celtic Heritage” that is deeply defined in my family history and when so much migration happens throughout the world. I have a little food for thought on this.
Casting the politics aside, the culture that is within a country is important to the people there. Thus why seek to bring change there because some move there? Such causes anger and discord amongst people who could very well do without.
Now this is far more than I intended to write on this poem. Because Imagine If you will: A Dog and a Cat and a Bird. All three are natural enemies! Often each attack the other without a thought OR they would run for safety from the other.
WHAT IF, Each were close friends? What IF a Dog became friends witha Cat and in turn both become friends with a Bird? Would it not teach you a lesson in life?
This is where todays poem is set and stands: Think about it and decide what Have you got to lose?
In saying all of this: Please enjoy this poem.

A Lesson: Or is it?
In a world of fur, feathers and pleasures,
Where friendship knows - no bounds or measures,
A dog, a cat, - and bird, - so fine,
Became the best of mates, - divine.
Their days yet filled with laughter and play,
Chasing tails, and chirping all day,
Their bond was strong, their love- as true,
A trio of friends, a bond so pure and new.
The dog, a labrador, was kind and sweet,
With a wagging tail, and a heart so neat,
The cat, a feline, with a twinkle in her eye,
Together they'd chase, and dance, and sigh.
The bird, a sparrow, with feathers so bright,
Would flit and flutter, with all his might,
There he'd chirp and sing, with joy in store,
His friends would laugh, and clap, for more.
In the sun, they'd bask, to soak the rays,
Their friendship grew, with each passing day,
Their love for each other, pure and true,
A trio of friends, a bond - strong that grew.
So let us celebrate, this trio so fine,
Their friendship, a joy, so divine,
For in a world full of strife and fear,
Their love and laughter, bring us cheer.

ENDING THOUGHTS:
Thank you for following me on this journey, This is my journey through composing and creating poetry. If Life is a journey which we all walk on, then my journey in creating Poetry is a journey of it’s own. Which I still learn much on as I write.
At times I experiment on methods or way how I can improve my poetry, therefore getting feedback is always most welcome for such as these.
In writing poetry some topics will either offend folks or a reader either may agree with a point or disagree with. I am Perfectly OK with how folks feel on some Poetry, even if they disagree with my views. But Poetry is a form of art work that I enjoy and thus using it in a manner to touch or inspire the reader.
I would like to Pass on my thanks to you for joining me on this journey.
Poetry for me is a constant learning curve that I always strive to improve. Often due to the speed of my typing and a few other issues, mistakes and typos will find their way into published posts. I continue to work on improving this as I move along. One such change is how I have been writing and how my poetry appears in relation to how the rest of the blog appears. So much work goes into editing and reediting and then repeating that process on a number of occasions until i am happy with the result.
Please forgive for any such mistakes and for your understanding this.
