The Last Goodbye: Chained

Introduction:

Following the last poem I published here, one comment suggested the possibility of a series or another poem along the same lines. Basically One gave a thought to think about composing more poems following the same thought of the last poem. I realise that many may be confused, But I have ended up composing a second poem onthe topic of a relationship ending and one party not moving on or ready to let go.

I have continued to compose and edit my poetry using an extra day or at times mmore to result in the finished poem. Using this method and slowing down in editing and trying to complete the task faster. Even when a poem reached it’s completed form, there will be some that may never reach the heights or levels of a previous one.

About The Poem:

In composing this poem I had Nothing to start on except for the poem I published prior to this one. That being the Poem before this one, that is based on a Love ending. What happens If one were to compose a poem on one who has had their Lopve end their relationship and walk out the door, BUT tone being unable or willing to accept that their relationship has ended and are not in a position to move forward.

This is where this poem moves in on, In a hope that it helps or strives to guide them on a path forward. Could one be encouraged to look on for better days. A love lost is a Love that one could not go back on, when one has walked away never to return. The pain is real But also is the fact that days will be better and brighter ahead.

All that I can do in this part is to hope that readers like this poem. I know it may not reach a height that was hoped for. BUT this poem is truly a challenge that I WILL see through to the end. There was nothing to start with but the poem that came before it, rather than a thought or words etc that would be the case for other poetry.

In finishing I hope that folks enjoy this poem and understand where I began with this.:

The Last Goodbye: Chained

The last goodbye haunts this heart still aware,
From despair one turn to share no repair.
This lonely cry becomes a snare again,
Lost on roads to misery, starting when?

Crawl through the avenues of yesterday,
Nought on display, just catching thoughts at play.
One closing door sounds, reminders surrounds
Where hounds of heartbreak roam free of their bounds.

Chained ne’er to stone but her heart holds on tight,
From the dawn how it takes flight through the night.
Restraints free the last goodbye will now sleeps
Break the chains binding, clear the road for keeps.

The sun shines brighter on a fresh new day,
Lessons from a closing door clears the gray.
Define a line guiding life's path and steer,
Where drives a road that ends ne’er to appear?

Ne’er remember that domain or remain,
A door opens to a new day thus plain.
Clear the shackles that bind to yesterday,
Hearts alone in bondage finds just one way.

ENDING THOUGHTS:

Thank you for joining me on this journey, which is my journey thoughwriting and learning more regarding composing poetry. They say that life is a journey which for me translates into poetry a journey onto itself.

Some of my poetry contain topics that at some point will or may not contain issues that readers either agree with or do not, or they have experienced or They will disagree with completely. YET that is completly fine by me. But Poetry is a form of art work that I enjoy and thus using it in a manner to touch or inspire the reader.

My path through writing and publishing Poetry on this blog is a journey beyond any expectations. And numbers have grown past anything I ever expected. In the end of any post I have to Pass on my thanks to you for joining me on this journey.

Poetry for me is a constant learning curve that I always strive to improve. Often due to the speed of my typing and a few other issues, mistakes and typos will find their way into published posts. I continue to work on improving this as I move along.
