Beyond The Weeds

The poem I am sharing today is one such piece of writing that has taken two days of writing and rewriting in an attempt to finish it with what I wished to leave it. In short Love is something that drives a soul insane or so it would appear. A Love that one pines for and when found seeks to remain within that beauty for eternity.

For how high or how deep would one go for their love? Or would one look through or beyond the weeds to find the love within one they truly love? Would one waste a life time to find that love again? Love sees beyond the natural and takes a couple to places that those alone can only dream of. If they ever should care for that.

Todays poem seeks to speak of a love that goes further than all else and soar above all else over the seas of love itself.

Having said all of that; Please Enjoy this Poem:

Beyond The Weeds




Higher than any mountain close to you,
You’re the glue that takes me through, such is true.
Deeper than all oceans I hold and love,
Above all admitting delight, sort of.


Yet beyond these weeds the old oak stands tall,
Troubles large or small I would sail or crawl.
Past the weeds a meadow waits to be found,
An uncrowned heart of love has run aground.


Where rose beds flourish weeds once made their home,
Through all these I will roam o’er land or foam.
To show my love follows to where you are,
Come part the weeds that cover as a scar.


Today, dear I’m climbing this Mountain high,
If I should fail or I should die, know why.
Or I should wander o’er a desert plain,
Without a lane to direct me to gain.



If I should perish without you with me,
Do not flee o’er the sea, I beg agree.
Yet carry my heart with thee for our love.
For love, my desire as fire soars above.
