To Kiss a Rose

In the warm summer sunshine, I spied a stranger pass me by. This brought a poem to mind that was since composed. That stranger possessed such beauty that even I could at the very least silently admire.

But this reaction in such days as these, can be dangerous and still risk bringing fort a little insult. Such genture, even a silent one, is a long lasting one that spans time. Yet we do have those who find insult in such gestures, even if very well and innocently made. Thus a question; Does one risk all and even silently admire? Or does one keep silent and walk away and thus not recognose one of the beauties of creation?

This is where todays poem comes in and takes a little journey that I hope will set a reader to both question and answer. What would you do?

For me a Rose is one of the most beautiful of all flowers and is always admired especially in full bloom. Thus when such beauty passes by I will in the least admire in silence. In this respect this poem sits in place following one such passing encounter with a Stranger, ne’er to be seen again.

Having said that, Please Enjoy this poem;

 To Kiss a Rose

Who said, “just come and kiss a rose today”,
Or stand on a quay to find an old way,
That helps you touch the beauty of the rose,
Before it fades away without her shows.

If e’er a chance finds your way, do not pass,
The scent of a rose is divine pure class.
An aroma above all others still,
Many queue to admire such trill can spill.

Have you ever seen a rose and pass her,
Yet ne’er admire her beauty or heart stir?
All would concur, such a sight to go see,
This be no ancient plea you will agree.

If a vision of beauty should pass you,
And your gaze diverts to follow it’s true.
Who then longs to kiss a rose or yet pose?
Beyond the sanctuary what arose?

Bounce your eyes from beauties smile, Who would try?
When you hear that inner gasp and deny.
That a Rose passed by and you did not spy.
Admire the beauty of a rose, Do try!
