Placing Pen to Paper

For Todays post there are few words that I could add to what has already been written within the words of todays Poem, Thus Nothing else will be written to add to this except for a little Preface. But I have done so in a little Poetic manner. Enjoy!

Preface

There are moments when silence needs to be spoken
when the stillness within begins to stir,
and what once trembled on the tongue
finds courage through the calm of ink.

It is here the heart begins its quiet hymn,
each word a way of listening,
each line a light rekindled.
Through Love’s patient presence,
speech becomes song,
and the soul remembers how to speak again.

(This is the closest image that fits the image for I had for this Poem. All thanks go to AI and its attempt to provide the image I asked for. Thus credit goes there))

Placing Pen to Paper

Placing pen to paper, I pray and perceive,
Weaving whispers where wounds would weave,
From faltered speech to fluent streams,
I shape the soul’s forgotten dreams.

Through trembling thought and tender night,
Love’s lantern lends its living light,
It warms the words the heart would hide,
And floods the fears once locked inside.

Through ocean’s hush and heaven’s hue,
I seek what’s pure, what still feels true,
For voices lost and souls that stay,
Are written back in word and ray.

Through mountain mist and meadow’s grace,
I trace the calm in Love’s embrace,
For faith is found where verses climb,
And hope is held in hands of rhyme.

Through veiled eyes raised where stars abide,
The spirit stirs, the storms subside,
Each bloom, each breeze, each dawn’s release,
Becomes a prayer that pleads for peace.

And when the day dissolves to dream,
The heart still hums its holy theme,
Not writing of love, but through its skies,
Beneath the gaze of wonder’s eyes.

ENDING THOUGHTS:

Thank you for following me on my little journey, that is composing or writing poetry. If Life is a journey which we all walk on and my journey in creating Poetry is a journey of it’s own. Which I still learn much on as I write.

At times I experiment on methods or way how I can improve my poetry, therefore getting feed back is always most welcome for such as these.

When I write poetry, some readers may be offended with something within the poetry. I do not write to offend, But such are written for reasons I outline in the posts. Often I miss typos and mistakes when publishing each poem. I correct the moment I discover such mistakes.

  1. Wow, Pat!!! This is really Awesome!!!! I really think your alliteration is great and is helping you visualize and use great imagery!!! Yeah!!!! Bravo, Pat, Bravo!!! I think you should read Lanier’s “The Song of the Chattahoothee” again!!! I think you will really see how much you have been mastering the use of alliteration but also other great aspects of writing poetry!!! I’m thrilled for you!! Sorry, I’ve been out of pocket lately!!! Will try and write today!

  2. Oh, a couple of tiny things to consider.
    1. The title is Pen to Paper. I’m thinking that AI can generate some great photos to choose from rather than someone at a computer??? Just me, Ha!
    2. The Legal copyright notice needs to be Copyright (c)2025 your name. The year date goes after the copyright symbol and before your name
    3. You should also consider adding All Rights Reserved after/below you copyright notice as this will/may help you protect your rights in other countries around the world that don’t follow the US Copyright law and rights to writers.

      1. The Copyright details are things I should have known but seems things are often different in some countries or so I thought. I don’t see that as being picky my friend, not in the slightest. The picture details is one I over looked maybe it was over done on my brian etc..

  3. You Crack me up!!! It’s just me but it just struck me as “Odd” to have the title be “Placing Pen To Paper” and have a photo of someone at the computer! Forgive me for noticing details. I do that watch TV and Movies too – Like in the Movie Die Hard they had someone in Washington D.C. calling on a pay phone with Pacific Bell’s logo on it!! Pacific Bell had phone service only to the west coast not to Washington D.C.
