As a Poet who also enjoys playing about with Photography to a little extent, these coming weeks here is into what I see as storm season.. That is when The many Hurricanes and storms that either strike the eastern USA Coast or Gather pace just off the coast, most often when they move north and Eatserly from USA to Here in Ireland, can bring some storms and poor weather to us.
BUT this is often a time to have camera set and ready to work on catching a display that works great for photographs. BUT I am not a Professional thus very many shots where failure to capture what I wished to have been the results. Yet for me this brought an idea for a Little Poetry. In a little way one that brings some of this into a poem.
Thus today’s Poem is of one standing by a window all through a storm filled night in awe of the display witnessed. I believe this worked much better than any photograph woulf ever capture.
About The Poem:
Created in the usual method of Aa, Bb Rhyming with alliteration that in my view works great for a more lyrical flow in a Poem. After many, many drafts and rewrites, what you read below is the final draft.
If one stood up all night watching a storm take place, one will know that they need many refreshments with them, like a constant flow of Tea etc.. For me this kind of display is like a movie and complete entertainment for one in awe of Natures Might.
If one was a Believer, One should realise that when I say Nature One could replace that with God. Still the awe is there, Such awe of this might and power amazes me. BUT only so much could be written that would build up interest in a single poem. As Folks know I like to write an introduction to my poetry, to further give an insight to the Poem or the mood itself. (Serious question: Would you prefder just a Poem on its own or as I have here?)
Having said all that I can on this; Please Enjoy This Poem:

((I use AI to create Images to suit my poetry because it saves me much time from searching through very many photographs or images that could work for Poetry, AI presented a great choice, So I opted for the best of the rest from AI. Credit etc and copyrite etc goes to AI or where it should go.))
The Dreaming Sky
Through dawn’s dim drift I lingered long,
As midnight’s might had raged so strong.
Yet morning’s mild and crystal skies
Bore sparrows’ songs where silence lies.
Soft tea-stained rings the oak betrayed,
From restless refills nightly made.
While lightning’s lances split the night,
My mind remained in wonder’s light.
The thunder throbbed, a trembling drum,
Its echo urged the earth to come.
Through shattered skies the storm would sear,
Yet awe outshone the edge of fear.
Each flashing fork, a fiery flare,
Lit fleeting life through midnight air.
I watched, awake, while shadows fled,
As wonder wove through what I read.
Each jagged jolt, a jeweled flame,
A fleeting frame no lens could claim.
The heavens hurled their blinding art,
Etched burning brands across the heart.
The storm, a stage where light was cast,
Through silver strokes too swift to last.
I sat, a witness, wide of eye,
To nature’s flash that split the sky.
Then slowly stilled the storm’s refrain,
Soft silence swept the fields again.
While dawn draped gold on waking land,
I held that night in memory’s hand.
Though tempests thrashed with ruthless might,
They birthed a beauty fierce and bright.
For even chaos, wild and vast,
Creates a glow too grand to last.
So still I sit, as morning streams,
Enriched by night’s electric dreams.
In nature’s storms, my soul could see
Theis fleeting spark of mystery.

ENDING THOUGHTS:
Thank you for following me on my little journey, that is composing or writing poetry. If Life is a journey which we all walk on and my journey in creating Poetry is a journey of it’s own. Which I still learn much on as I write.
