For todays Poem, I wanted to work on adding a couple of things to the poem that would add to the overall mood and theme of the poem. One such was a usual play with words, but on this occasion it is add to a sence that would add to the mood. Just as in the Title “Foxglove Reverie”, To me and also throughout literature a Fox symbolises Wise or Intelligence etc, a Glove is for this one Warmth or safety, and Reverie is I hope should give a sence of lost in Thought or daydream.
Already you should get a litle hint that a lot of thought and many hours of editing went into this Poem.
Another area that I worked on in this poem is that of using colour or a hint of colour to add to mood or theme of the poem, One such thing had bothered me for so long was the use of “Silver Fox” in this Poem. Although we do NOT have silver Foxes roaming the wild we do have many Foxes and what I came to kow as Urban Foxes have become a regular sight, But to add colour like red fox did not quiet fit the poem for me, Thus I had to add a type of Fox that is not seen here that of the “Silver Fox”. But alsothe use of the term “Silver Fox” has been used for as long as I kow towards ulder gentlemen, to give a hint of a wiser older gentleman.
Thus I eventually set on that term being used. Also I set the time of day and the season that should add to a feeling and mood of the Poem. I expect that folks will find these working or if not please let me know.
About The Poem:
With the above added experiments added to Todays Poem, I do hope that Folks enjoy this read and the journey although brief it takes you on a pleasant walk in nature. Using sky and cloud colour also helped in creating such to this Poem. In all todays Poem is taking a sole walk or wander alone in the late evening just as daylight begins to fade.
If any of the above did not work for you! Please Let me know in comments! I alm always intrerested in reading thoughts etc and where it helps me to improve as a poem I am prepared to learn. This is why I work and change in poetry a lot, To Improve my Poetry and hope to find something that works very well.
I also like to play about with my verbal or Dictionary use in poetry, because on normal situations my Vocabulary may not be of the highest standard and thus adding to it in writing, itself creates a Little surprise for those who have kown me over the years.
Having said all of this; Please Enjoy This Poem:

Once more I have stuck with AI to provide a suitable Image to go along with this Post, especially after many rejected Pictures. So any usual credit etc for copyrite etc goes where it should go. I believe this best suits the Topic of the Poem.
Foxglove Reverie
Beneath the breath of a brittle breeze,
The trail wound, near the river’s knees,
Each step awakened thoughts of chill,
From northern gusts, beyond the hill.
Crimson clouds curled in creeping light,
Dimming the gold of day to night,
I paused beneath, the hush of dread,
As shadows pooled, where sun had fled.
Frostbitten ferns brushed at my side,
Whispering truths, they couldn't hide,
I listened close with sharpened ear,
Unsure if truth or wind drew near.
Through thickets thinned, by winter’s hand,
A silver fox began to stand,
Its amber eyes met mine with grace,
And stilled the ache, that time can't erase.
Birdsong broke from the brittle reeds,
Echoing joy in emerald deeds,
I smiled, though cold still kissed the air,
The world was wounded, but still fair.
Forest and flame now filled my core,
A soul once restless roamed no more.
In every leaf, a vow was spun,
To walk with wonder till life is done.
