Wild Flowers

When living through a period of time when the weather is less than favourable, one could not help but think of days when flowers and life bloomed together. As the Wild Mountain Heather was in full bloom, as birds of the air in all their variety flew about. Also the song they song, filled the air that was carried by a soft wind.

All of this combined with the beauty that is the love of your life strolled along beside you as the wind blew her hair across her face. Such a vision brings a warmth to your heart and thus brightens your day. This is the bare bones of todays Poem.

A Dream of a brighter, warmer day when flowers and life are in full bloom and the evils and sadness of this world is far behind you, if only for a moment.

This is Today’s Poem, laid out before you.

About The Poem:

Being one who loves the smell and sights of country life, far away from the life and rat race that is city life. After a number of weeks that have been filled with storms, rain, snow and repeat the whole train of weather events again. I began to imagine what it will one day be like again. From the smell of Wild Mountain Heather in full bloom and the wild flowers that also bloomed around them. Then the birds of the air, joined in the vision of this warmth to combine with a love that walked beside you.

The soft south wind that blows across her face, all combine to complete a vision of beauty and wild flowers. Which for moments you could not find difference between each of them, for all was a vision of beauty.

That is todays poem, which I worked on over the past few days. Welcome to my imagination and my vision of a brighter and warmer days ahead.

I have continued in my journey as it were, to avoid using certain words or filler words that usually appear to fill my poetry. In place I tried to limit the use of such words, in a hope that in time my poetry should flow easier free of filler words. I do not blieve that I done great at this to date, But it has improve, also It helps to create such habits that should aid future editing of works.

Having said all of this; Please Enjoy This Poem:

Wild Flowers

Wild Flowers cover the hillside
As Mountain Heather blooms with pride.
Birds of the air flock about here,
Beneath a blue sky thus clear.

This soft south wind blows the brown hair,
Across her face as she walked there.
For together we wandered free,
Through beauty seen, who could agree.

Amongst the Heather we would walk,
A Vision in beauty she would talk.
This heart that pounded from my chest,
Reflected what I saw at best.

Sitting amongst the heather looking,
At sights seen those eyes were cooking.
For memories stored never floored,
Forever shared, creators reward.

This vision in beauty with me Lay,
None could display or e’er delay,
Natures treasure compared to she,
Still had me stumbling to my Knee.

      1. Yes, I really love it. I love it when a poem flows off a word, title or phrase and you can keep the imagery of those first words flowing so that it reads like an opening scene in a movie where they slowly pan showing the opening scene. I like writing images/scenes.

Hope you’ve had a good day and the the Old Bod is cooperating??
