Take This Heart

Over a number of days, I pondered about the Love Poetry that I have been working on and my desire to perfect this craft of Writing Love Poetry. A few lines kept running through my mind, each of which made it on todays Poem. It is a Love Poem in the simpliest of terms and a Poem that I hope will stand out, for all the right reasons. If any Poem was to become one’s decree to a true Love, Would it be that which is written in today’s Poem?

About The Poem:

As stated above, Like many of the previous posts, Todays Post is a Love Poem. But more than a Love Poem in many ways. It can also be stated as a Decree of Love as it were. Or so I would like to imagine, A decree to the world and the True Love in question, Of your Love fror this person.

At least I would hope many would like such a decree be stated to them! But if it is not what readers like as a decree, Then It should be read as such or this is the view within me for such words.

Love is one of the greatest experiences any person can experience, thus when it is written towards one, it can have a great impact on the couple and I believe may mark this relationship as one of the tighter couples in this game of Love. Again such are my thoughts.

I wish that I could place more profound words here that further explains why People should read or understand this in a better light, BUT it is simply a Love Poem. Yet to say that it is Simply A Love Poem almost undermines the Term. For it is More than simply a Love Poem. It is a LOVE POEM.

I do hope that readers see it the same as I do. So Having said all of this; Please Enjoy This Poem:

Take This Heart



If I could command the stars at night, 
To light the path for you, so bright.
 So where you walk will always shine,
Like the Creators grand design .


For every dawn that graces your day,
I’d gift you rays, to warm the way.
When storm winds blow, and heart is worn,
I’ll be your shelter safely sworn.


For each beat, this heart I promise you, 
With whispers soft as evening's dew. 
And paint this world in shades that parade, 
A canvas with our hearts displayed.


For the brightest of moonlight nights, 
To light your eyes like stars that invites;
The gentle breath of evening breeze, 
To blow e’er softly through the trees.


So take this heart— my humble plea— 
That beats for you, with this decree; 
And every touch, of your embrace: 
This love for you, yet can't erase.

Thank you for following me on my little journey, that is composing or writing poetry. If Life is a journey which we all walk on and my journey in creating Poetry is a journey of it’s own. Which I still learn much on as I write.
