When sitting as usual to write a poem for todays post, I drew a blank and nothing was appearing. So I left it for a day to come at it with a fresh mind, yet that say was two days break because I hold one day clear each week to deal with a family issue. In the end I sat yesterday to compose a poem for today, while looking out at the first sign of winter outside.
This was where todays Poem came into being, The first taste of winters breath was the opening thought for todays Poem and the topic for todays post.
About The Poem:
Have you ever been out in the great outside world and a tiny hint of a seasons breath strikes you gently? Thus bringing with it a memory that was very well burried and almost forgotten. This is the short note of what Todays poem carries. The subject of Todays Poem, is out in the world walking (as I would most days) and Winters breath strikes him or her gently. This brings Him or Her into a train of memories of a Love that was long since gone. Thus recalling the love that was and the eventual demise of such a love that left them with an empty space that was yet to be filled.
In another way It is a thought for folks, should they be in a similar path in life, Hope is always close by and never far off from you. Or in more simple words, there is always hope that One will find a new Love to fill that empty space in Life.
This is the general thought within today’s Poem, Hope of a Love that fills that void. It is not a Happy bouncy type of Poem, But it is one that springs of a Little Hope. Also it should pass on a hint as it were, That Hope of Love to eventually find its home with you, is in itself a start.
Having said all of that; Please Enjoy Todays Poem:

Winter’s Embrace
This winter's chill, caresses my skin,
A gentle embrace; yet icy spin.
The air carries memories, frost-kissed,
To where only, my heart dismissed.
Thoughts still carried me to a time,
When love's embrace thawed my soul’s climb.
And eyes that gazed with tender Love,
A distant echo, this fading glove.
The river of pain, flows through my life,
Carving paths of bittersweet strife.
Yet in icy depths, hope still lingers,
That a thaw will melt, winter's fingers.
Recalling days when love was pure,
And the world held no pain, to endure.
Eyes that reflected, depths of our souls,
Now a memory, that never consoles.
Winter's embrace, a companion in life,
My reminder of loves rife strife.
In this frozen landscape Love remains,
A hope that love's warmth, again sustains.
These rivers of pain that pass my gate,
Carry there echoes of loves weight.
But, in the whispers of winter's breath,
Love will find me, before its death.

ENDING THOUGHTS:
Thank you for following me on my little journey, that is composing and creating poetry. If Life is a journey which we all walk on and my journey in creating Poetry is a journey of it’s own. Which I still learn much on as I write.
At times I experiment on methods or way how I can improve my poetry, therefore getting feedback is always most welcome for such as these.
When I write poetry, some readers may be offended with something within the poetry. I do not write to offend, But such are written for reasons I outline in the posts. Often I miss typos and mistakes when publishing each poem. BUT I correct the moment I discover such mistakes.
But Poetry is a form of art work that I enjoy and thus using it in a manner to touch or inspire the reader.
I would like to Pass on my thanks to you for joining me on this journey.
Poetry is a learning curve where I always strive to improve. Often due to the speed of my typing and a few other issues, mistakes and typos will find their way into published posts. I continue to work on improving this as I move along. One such change is how I have been writing and how my poetry appears in relation to how the rest of the blog appears. So much work goes into editing and reediting and then repeating that process on a number of occasions until i am happy with the result.
Please forgive for any such mistakes and for your understanding this.
