When composing todays Poem, My plan of action was to start with one phrase or one Line. On this occasion it was what was to become The Title for the Poem “Love Saved Me”. BUT it never dawned on me nor was it on my mind the whole spiritual or Religious tones in such a title! My first thought was the very thought that Love in its being and experience saved the person in the Poem. When I had completed this poem and reread it as I usually do, I was taken back, Because it does have what can be seen as Spiritual tones.
Thus in my view this poem can be read and seen in a couple of ways. One could read or take this Poem and view it from the experience of escaping the pits of loneliness when discovering Love for that first time with someone with whom you find that they fit almost as a jigsaw. OR one could take it from a religious or Faith filled way that one finds when finding a Faith in God for the first time. Although it was not my first thought to compose, but cannot be denied that such is the case in this Poem.
Therefore readers of this Poem can read this with the mindset of either view OR from both views. But I would be interested in finding out your feeling on which thought best suits this poem. Any religious thoughts WAS NOT my intention but neither will I deny that it now exists in this poem as it appears.
About The Poem:
To repeat my first thought was simply a love poem and a thought that when One finds Love that lifts them from that pit of loneliness and despairi nto a completely different world. Although when the poem finished It did have the tomes and thoughts I wanted BUT also found that it has very deep Spiritual Tones that I cannot deny. It took me back a little and thought about scrapping the poem and working on a fresh one.
Yet after letting this lay over night I decided on using it for this post and also thinking that some may give their views on which best suits the Poem. I feel that it suits both and from the thoughts that I had in starting composing the Poem, I believed it does fit both thoughts. I guess at times the Spirit within us sets to drive what we compose to fit a different thought and aim. SO What Do You Think?
So having said all that I could on this issue; Please Enjoy this Poem:

Love Saved Me
For these chains of misery cost,
A heart burdened, yet wandered lost,
Run aground on a lonley stream,
Where love’s beacon, lit the darkest dream.
Love saved me from depths of despair,
Turning tears to crystal, the heart to care.
Yet this stone-cold heart - was changed,
Where loneliness, its weight arranged.
In seas of solitude, near drowned,
Where loves lifeline, held me and crowned.
And saved me from waves of sorrow,
Bringing this heart of stone to life, ne’er borrow!
Standing here, with heart unbroken,
Such power, my soul has spoken.
Ne’er thus bound - by chains that pained,
From the prison this heart once remained.
Now it beats, with a newfound grace,
Love saved me, in a gentle embrace.
No longer swimming, the sea of pain,
Love has saved, and helped me live again.

ENDING THOUGHTS:
Thank you for following me on this journey, that is composing and creating poetry. If Life is a journey which we all walk on, then my journey in creating Poetry is a journey of it’s own. Which I still learn much on as I write.
At times I experiment on methods or way how I can improve my poetry, therefore getting feedback is always most welcome for such as these.
When I write poetry, some readers may be offended with something within the poetry. I do not write to offend, But such are written for reasons I outline in the posts. Often I miss typos and mistakes when publishing each poem. BUT I correct the moment I discover such mistakes.
But Poetry is a form of art work that I enjoy and thus using it in a manner to touch or inspire the reader.
I would like to Pass on my thanks to you for joining me on this journey.
Poetry is a learning curve where I always strive to improve. Often due to the speed of my typing and a few other issues, mistakes and typos will find their way into published posts. I continue to work on improving this as I move along. One such change is how I have been writing and how my poetry appears in relation to how the rest of the blog appears. So much work goes into editing and reediting and then repeating that process on a number of occasions until i am happy with the result.
Please forgive for any such mistakes and for your understanding this.
