Love Wins

After a number of days where I took as a break, because an anniversary, thus a break was needed to clear mind etc.. Upon my return to writing and composing Poetry, I struggled with what I wanted to write about. Therefore the first three Poems and parts of Poems were set aside and I restarted again. A restart in composing a poem is nothing new and does not bother me much, because any parts or cast away poems are set aside for a time where I could make something of them.

About The Poem:

When I did arrive at a poem that flowed well, I decided that this was the one in which I would share with you. But it was furthest from what I had in mind, and it became a love poem of sorts. I say “A Love Poem of Sorts” because it takes us through a minefield as it were where “Heart Break of a Lost Love and one who betrayed” to where “True Love wins the day”.

This is exactly how I would describe such a poem, From The heartbreak of a Lost Love to where True Love , when it is found. Of course I use the Imagry of Autumn , the storms that hit us here in Ireland at such a time, as a backdrop of such a Poem. Much of the Poem appears as another Autumn, storm littered type of Poem, But the message should be that OF True Love winning the day. Because when such strikes you, Noting else matters. Also Nothing matters when your heart is filled with a Love that brightens your day like a bright morning following a storm.

I do hope that such is the way folks will find this Poem. But If folks find something else, Please let me know as I would be most interested in reading such thoughts.

Having said all of this; please enjoy This Poem:

Love Wins

As the wind howls a mournful tune,
and rain falls like tears late afternoon.
With each drop a memory crossed,
And each gust a whisper thus lost.

Yet still - Heartache wraps around,
As a heavy cloak stitched to confound.
And threads thus woven with regrets,
But ‘neath this stormy sky forgets,

In this chaos as clouds are dancing,
where Pain seems to prance advancing,
But The memory of laughter stings,
Like beacons in the dark that sings.

Though tempests rage and spirits fail,
Where hands once entwined, love stands to scale.
In forests stripped by storms fury,
True Love bends but never breaks, purely.

As dawn breaks through the murky veil,
Casting golden rays across a soaked trail.
A heart begins it‘s fractures mend,
Like flowers in frostbitten soil, ascend.

As the winds howl and rain cascade;
For None can disguise this truth played.
Even gripped by sorrow and despair,
As true love wins this days affair.

ENDING THOUGHTS:

Thank you for following me on this journey, that is composing and creating poetry. If Life is a journey which we all walk on, then my journey in creating Poetry is a journey of it’s own. Which I still learn much on as I write.

At times I experiment on methods or way how I can improve my poetry, therefore getting feedback is always most welcome for such as these.

When I write poetry, some readers may be offended with something within the poetry. I do not write to offend, But such are written for reasons I outline in the posts. Often I miss typos and mistakes when publishing each poem. BUT I correct the moment I discover such mistakes.

But Poetry is a form of art work that I enjoy and thus using it in a manner to touch or inspire the reader.

I would like to Pass on my thanks to you for joining me on this journey.

Poetry is a learning curve where I always strive to improve. Often due to the speed of my typing and a few other issues, mistakes and typos will find their way into published posts. I continue to work on improving this as I move along. One such change is how I have been writing and how my poetry appears in relation to how the rest of the blog appears. So much work goes into editing and reediting and then repeating that process on a number of occasions until i am happy with the result.

Please forgive for any such mistakes and for your understanding this.
