Sweet Love of My Youth

In keeping with the method I have used over the past number of posts, Todays Poem is the result of this way of composing Poetry. The sole thought I had coming into the past few days was “Sweet Love”. All else is the result of this creative session as it were.

About The Poem:

The Poem for today is about a Love from the days of youth, and one that has lasted through live, held within the areas where Only memories remain. Beginning with this Poem I did not know how this Poem would take shape. Nor did I know or realise how this subject of Love would end or result in.

This is the great surprise even for meand leaves me thinking, “How Do I explain This”. Yet this is a method of Poetry Creation that I enjoy.

Thus today’s Poetry is one such thing and I have loved the whole package, right up to the end result. But the subject of Love is No longer in this persons Life and all that remains are the memories that have remained with them throughout life.

It is the making of some great Poetry and I look forward to any others (If they ever do) that decide to carry this thought of a Love from days of Youth, that remains in the core and inner parts of their heart.

If any decide to run with this thought, Let me know so I can (if it is ok with you) to display it on this Blog also.

But having stated all that I could here: Please Enjoy This Poem:

       Sweet Love of My Youth

When the sun goes down, on another day,
And hairs turning grey, - without delay.
Yet these sands of time flowing, faster still,
While memory rewrites swimming uphill.

But as Memory stays and yet replays,
A Love that ne’er fades from sight or decays.
Sweet Love of My youth, that never grew old,
And yet there sits - when my bones grow cold.

My Love shines still, Like a rose in Summer,
Often wishing that some would become her.
Sweet as Chocolate on a Star Filled night,
For all was bright - and filled with delight.

The wind in the trees, still sing of our Love
Those stars and moon still shine there from above.
With the setting Sun, Sweet Love of my Youth,
Captured my heart -beyond all truth.

Birds of the air - yet Sings of this rose,
Thus remains are memories to enclose.
Sweet Love of my youth now lays encased here,
Queen of my heart - forever lives near.

ENDING THOUGHTS:

Thank you for following me on this journey, that is composing and creating poetry. If Life is a journey which we all walk on, then my journey in creating Poetry is a journey of it’s own. Which I still learn much on as I write.

At times I experiment on methods or way how I can improve my poetry, therefore getting feedback is always most welcome for such as these.

When I write poetry, some readers may be offended with something within the poetry. I do not write to offend, But such are written for reasons I outline in the posts. Often I miss typos and mistakes when publishing each poem. BUT I correct the moment I discover such mistakes.

But Poetry is a form of art work that I enjoy and thus using it in a manner to touch or inspire the reader.

I would like to Pass on my thanks to you for joining me on this journey.

Poetry is a learning curve where I always strive to improve. Often due to the speed of my typing and a few other issues, mistakes and typos will find their way into published posts. I continue to work on improving this as I move along. One such change is how I have been writing and how my poetry appears in relation to how the rest of the blog appears. So much work goes into editing and reediting and then repeating that process on a number of occasions until i am happy with the result.

Please forgive for any such mistakes and for your understanding this.
