Like in the past number of weeks, I set a Goal to compose on a certain direction and flowed along with that. On this occasion I wanted to compose on a set tpoic with no words in which to start from and from the beginning I discovered a flow that surprised me a little. This topic took hold as “a nod of the head” or “a Tip of the Cap” towards the Poet through the ages.
About The Poem:
This Poem that I print here today for folks to read, serves as my own “tip of the cap” towards the Poets through the ages, whose work are imortalised on pages for time to come. Those that inspire from days long since past or those that still inspire today. There have been those who have inspired me as an Irish Man and as one proud of my herritage, I give a “Tip of The Cap” to them, Like W.B. Yeats. Or those that Inspired me to write my own eventually Like John Donne and Seán ‘Clárach‘ Mac Domhnaill, (c.1690–1754 Who I unknowingly discovered was burried in a graveyard where my son was laid to rest. I knew of him but never bothered to research more in debt. and a Poet that wrote in the Irish Language and risked his life to teach children in what became known as “Hedge Schools” at a time when Education was only reserved fora Protestant Class and in a Dominantly Catholic country, many went without education.
Therefore hedge schools were the normal and done in secret. Also a Poet that he wrote eventually became the basis of an Irish language folk song which is a fantastic testament to a Poet
I could name many poets that ispired me, even if I did not or could not rate as the best etc. Yet they are on a list that I would name to thank, evn those from today would be on a list to name and thank.
This leaves me to ask one question: What Poet or Poets Helped inspire you or Brought you to write today? If any!
Having said all of that, Please Enjoy this Poem:

out such great work ))
The Pen and Ink
In the realm of words, - where ink is King,
As Poets weep and mourn, or even sing.
Their voices echo, to an unheard claim,
Of Love's whisper, in a spark to a flame,
Recycled words, a generation sleeps,
As Ignorance to the poet - creeps.
The Pen and Ink, Like a kiss on a rose,
Respected or Loved, enduring, it glows.
The Poets Pen, a voice to the masses,
Silent through all, the classes that passes.
The Voice that resounds, - for the ages,
Where the Poet waits, to speak in pages.
But the flame - flickers in stormy wind,
A reluctant kiss, tamed a storm behind.
Yet a kiss in words remains in the care
Of The Pen and the Ink, this perfect pair.
Words on the pages a voice that ne’er stills,
Where weeping or mourning there they send chills.
The Poets Pen, - their voice through the years,
Who yet hears their voice that still there appears?

ENDING THOUGHTS:
Thank you for following me on this journey, that is composing and creating poetry. If Life is a journey which we all walk on, then my journey in creating Poetry is a journey of it’s own. Which I still learn much on as I write.
At times I experiment on methods or way how I can improve my poetry, therefore getting feedback is always most welcome for such as these.
When I write poetry, some readers may be offended with something within the poetry. I do not write to offend, But such are written for reasons I outline in the posts. Often I miss typos and mistakes when publishing each poem. BUT I correct the moment I discover such mistakes.
But Poetry is a form of art work that I enjoy and thus using it in a manner to touch or inspire the reader.
I would like to Pass on my thanks to you for joining me on this journey.
Poetry is a learning curve where I always strive to improve. Often due to the speed of my typing and a few other issues, mistakes and typos will find their way into published posts. I continue to work on improving this as I move along. One such change is how I have been writing and how my poetry appears in relation to how the rest of the blog appears. So much work goes into editing and reediting and then repeating that process on a number of occasions until i am happy with the result.
Please forgive for any such mistakes and for your understanding this.

My husband and I like the poets of old, particularly The Passionate Shepherd to His Love, by Marlowe, and The Nymph’s Reply to the Shepherd, by Raleigh,

I was so curious to the poems that you listed, I went and looked both up.. I certainly like them… I alo like how Marlowe uses terms etc of that era.. definately ones I like. I do recall having studied a little Marlowe in University in the later parts of 1990s….
