For You…

During our walk on this road that is life, We owe much of who or what we are, what we achieved etc, to someone who was responsible for teaching us. There is always one who provided those lessons that brought us to this point in our lives. It may be just one person that was responsible Or it may have been a number of people who provided the teaching that helped us to get where we are. In every one, there is someone who provided that step up in life to get to this point.

About The Poem:

Todays poem is a “Tip of The hat” towards those or a token of Honour to those who helped us get to the point where we are at. From those who gave time to teach us valuable lessons to those who picked us up when we wre at our lowest in life. This is where Todays Poem comes in!

This poem is as stated above A Token of Honour or aLittle thank you to those who may have helped us. In my own case there were a number of people that are responsible for such in my life, those also who picked me up when I was at my lowest. For some it may have been a Dog or a Cat that brought such moments, but most likely there were those who were the providers of soch lessons that brought us here.

For me my late Mother was always a provider of valuable lessons, or those whose moments of kindness helped bring one through very difficult moments. There are always some who paid a very brief moment in our lives, but the lessons they brought with them was monumental and gave a huge impact in our lives.

Simply put this is a poem that lays it out for those as a form of thank you and a mark of honour for them in a hope this little thank you lasts longer than many lives. I do hope that this little poem comes accross as I believe it should. But also Not only I would say thank you to someone, BUT those who take time to read this post, will also have those they will thank.

But also some very painful moments provide such seeds for lessons. do we thank those? or the factr that we survive such moments? Such are questions some may ask.

For You...



In the oceans of life and sea thus bright,
Walking with light – but learning what’s right.
For you are the reason for my season.
To grow and listen all else my treason


Because you taught me, - I seek to learn,
Eager to know more able to discern.
Yet one had loved me, that I seek to Love, 
That yet fits like a glove like from above.


For you spoke to me, I learned to listen,
But poor with ears, - hear to yet christen.
Love poured - thus yet beyond the walls grown,
Often shown for some – never alone.


Past the boundaries - of right and wrong,
Denied by some – no where to belong.
You gave a home – within this old heart,
Starting without desire lost to depart.


This love that burns within that lights my fire,
What climbs levels helping me to acquire. 
You lifted my head - when I was down,
yet I drowning, - without you around.

ENDING THOUGHTS:

Thank you for following me on this journey, that is incomposing and creating poetry. If Life is a journey which we all walk on, then my journey in creating Poetry is a journey of it’s own. Which I still learn much on as I write.

At times I experiment on methods or way how I can improve my poetry, therefore getting feedback is always most welcome for such as these.

When I write poetry, some readers may be offended with something within the poetry. I do not write to offend, But such are written for reasons I outline in the posts. Often I miss typos and mistakes when publishing each poem. BUT I correct the moment I discover such mistakes.

But Poetry is a form of art work that I enjoy and thus using it in a manner to touch or inspire the reader.

Poetry is a learning curve where I always strive to improve. Often due to the speed of my typing and a few other issues, mistakes and typos will find their way into published posts. I continue to work on improving this as I move along. One such change is how I have been writing and how my poetry appears in relation to how the rest of the blog appears. So much work goes into editing and reediting and then repeating that process on a number of occasions until i am happy with the result.
