Symphony

Introduction:

Todays poem has been a few days coming, but this time it has been due to a rise in temperatures and more than a little sunshine. Although I am not one for sunshine, it has brought on some chores and duties that had to be carried out. Thus a little delay in posting this poem and in fact I have been late in editing it also.

Like I mentioned on my last post, I am a country boy at heart, having been born and grew up in a small town in a rural area. I love the quieter lifestyle where all in the area knew everyone else and it was far more relaxed. Also what I miss from living close to and now this area now has become a part of a growing city in recent years, is that quieter more country side lifestyle.

This is where I have touched on in todays poem. For so long (and in fact up until I started typing this post), I was going to call The Poem “Symphony Of Life” But felt that Symphony was more fitting.

About The Poem:

Like I stated above, This poem is a tribute in a way to the country side! But also it is what I feel about the country side and what we have come to know as Nature. If one was to listen to all of the sounds that we hear when walking throughout the Lands, we will hear a “Symphony”, It will be a musical master piece of sorts.

I am one who has an impairment in hearing, which means I wear hearing aids, and many sounds or pitches etc of sounds I may not hear without the aids. Even the light flowing of water or the chirping or song of the little birds. each I have gone a number of years without hearing, Thus it becmes a musical master piece for me.

Combine this with The Rolling Green hills of Ireland, it adds to this, from the mountains to the low valleys a beauty of wonderous sounds can be heard. This in itself is Todays Poem. From start to finish It is the countryside and what we see and hear is what I love and also also a tribute to where I come from, the little hills on the south side of town to the flat grasslands on the northside, it is my home. Then by taking a drive for a little over an hour we reach the coast line of the south west of ireland (North west county Kerry)

This is todays Poem. Therefore having said all of this, Please enjoy this poem:

Symphony

Dreaming Often of fields of Green spread wide,
And crashing waves roll in, - it's mighty tide.
A Summer sun shines bright, with warmth, thus divine,
Or Roses in bloom, - A colourful line.

Like eyes that sparkle bright, in new loves dawn,
Or Flowing rivers, that glisten, a morn’ drawn.
Of Woods filled with sounds, all nature's sweet grace,
E’er walking alone, A thoughtful, peaceful space.

Nature's beauty, all around us abound,
Enveloping us, with it’s gentle sound.
The wind whispers low, through leaves - so green,
This symphony of life, - harmony unseen.

Where these green hills and waves will always meet,
Roses still bloom, and love doth sweetly greet.
These rivers flowing, sing their gentle song,
And the woods - fill with life, all day long.

Walking alone, lost in nature's embrace,
It’s there we find, our heart's -- true place.
For in her beauty, we are enfolded tight,
In the loveliness, of this summer's light.

ENDING THOUGHTS:

Thank you for following me on this journey, that is incomposing and creating poetry. If Life is a journey which we all walk on, then my journey in creating Poetry is a journey of it’s own. Which I still learn much on as I write.

At times I experiment on methods or way how I can improve my poetry, therefore getting feedback is always most welcome for such as these.

When I write poetry, some readers may be offended with something within the poetry. I do not write to offend, But such are written for reasons I outline in the posts. Often I miss typos and mistakes when publishing each poem. BUt I correct the moment I discover such mistakes.

But Poetry is a form of art work that I enjoy and thus using it in a manner to touch or inspire the reader.

I would like to Pass on my thanks to you for joining me on this journey.

Poetry is a learning curve where I always strive to improve. Often due to the speed of my typing and a few other issues, mistakes and typos will find their way into published posts. I continue to work on improving this as I move along. One such change is how I have been writing and how my poetry appears in relation to how the rest of the blog appears. So much work goes into editing and reediting and then repeating that process on a number of occasions until i am happy with the result.

Please forgive for any such mistakes and for your understanding this.

  1. This was Absolutely Beautiful. I nearly envisioned myself sitting there with you looking out on the Green fields of Ireland. One of my bucket list fantasy trips is actually to Ireland.

God Bless You and thank you for sharing your gift with us.
