Introduction:
Today’s Poem I cannot make excuses for, nor can I apologize for. Because Pure and simply this poem is Christian based OR more exact it is a poem that seeks to guiide folks who read this poem to question what they believe. It is not a poem that Forces a belief upon another person, But in stead seeks to excourage the reader to question OR in some minute way a seed may be set to question in time what they believe. This is written with one thing in Mind.
As we find ourselves deep in Easter week, a Time that Modern times have it set that One who Died upon a Cross and three days later was risen from the dead.
I believe in Christ jesus and in All that which He spoke about and on, yet even through the maze of misinformation and blind teachings of man has lead so many in a variety of ways. Thus I stand here and state my Faith is where it is, NOT for any man but He whom I believe in.
Another reason for this poem is in a way a tribute to a man Joseph Mary Plunkett 1887 – 1916. Joseph Plunket was a Poet and one of the Leaders of the Rising of 1916 ( a failed Rebellion that sparked a war for independence in the coming years ). All of which eventually lead to Irelands independence. But at a high cost, most notably are the lives that were lost.
Two such lives wer those of Joseph Plunkett and his Beloved Grace Gifford who were both married mere hours before his execution by firing squad for his part in the rising. They were both allowed 15 minutes together under guard and this was the entirity of married life they had together. Grace Died late in life having never remarried and remained true to Her love.
In todays peom there is a line that Mentions “His Blood upon a Rose” This is a tribute and mention in a way of a Poem written by Joseph Plunkett ” “I see His Blood upon the Rose”.
Thus this poem is a tribute to Joseph Plunkett and a Christian poem in many ways.
About The Poem:
As stated todays poem is a christian poem and carries a christian message given the time we have. Also it is a nod and a tribute to Joseph Plunkett (Poet and Revolutionary).
Usually I avoid political messages and still strive to stay clear from direct political messages when possible, BUT I will give credit and tribute to people who left a mark on peoples lives like that of Joseph plunkett and thanks to a song that was written some years ago called “Grace” which tells of the love that Joseph plunkett had for his beloved whom he married hours before his execution for his part in the failed rising against British rule in 1916.
Any christian believer may find words or terms that were hinted or mentioned within the poem. It seeks to guide folks through toughts and hopefully lead them to ask what they believe in an indirect manner.
“Grace” by Jim McCann is a song I have mentioned above that tells of the love story between both Joseph plunkett and Grace Gifford. This is linked here in any case that anyone may wish to hear this song and backstory relation to this song.
In a way this poem was written with Joseph Plunkett’s own poem “I see His Blood upon the Rose” in mind and a slight tribute to this man. If any wish to read this poem it should be found in the link provided .
Having said all of this. Please Enjoy this Poem:

Truth's Embrace
The sands of time rush swiftly through my gaze,
Amidst the lies, I seek truth in fleeting days.
When troubled seas assail, and waves crash high,
I shake off dust, stand firm, and meet the sky.
The Good Shepherd, seated, watches o'er His fold,
Upon The Rock, His eyes the strays behold.
With Blood upon the Rose, He guides them home,
No hour too late to find solace, cease to roam.
In lands of wandering, lost and blind, we stray,
Yet underneath His wings, we find our way.
As foes assail our lands, His presence near,
None can match His might, none need fear.
But blinded by the world's deceitful art,
We fail to see His love, His tender heart.
Yet still, His Blood upon the Rose, a sign,
His praise sung by the birds, divine.
Wandering roads, seeking truth's embrace,
In righting wrongs, we find our rightful place.
No denials hold, no falsehoods blur the view,
For in His grace, all paths lead to anew.
