Changing Faces

Introduction:

In sitting here working on todays poem, I had a couple of issues that I felt would be ideal to write into a poem. But temptation is always one thing that will bea constant for poetry writing on. BUT this is something that I strive to avoid, because in Ireland what is seen as prime for Irish people is never ging to be same for those elsewhere and visa versa. Thus all other issues will be a constant for addressing in a poem.

Like in todays poem There are a couple of isues that spring up in the poem, and for some it may be just one issue, I hope that my disguising topics and issuees into words and lines would hide it enough to bring more of a touch of poetic flow in a Poem.

Todays poem will have one of a Troubled love or a Relationship in very rough waters, because of the lines between truth and lies becoming one as it were and thus at times no difference becomes the given theme. Also one could spring this about and address such lines within society becomes distorted and again Truth and Lies are almost one and the same.

About The Poem:

As already stated today’s poem has been composed with a couple of topics in mind. As a poet I write a lot in relation to how people act or react within society and also a lot regarding a variety of love or issues in a relationship.

Therefore Imagine a relationship where it is in very troubled waters, because the lines between truth and lies have become distorted and almost nonexistent. For where would trust lay if truth and lies are one and same?

A couple of threads that should carry a reader along this road and maybe in cases provide answers. Poetry has for many lifetimes been a beacon as it were that helps guide folks along this road in life. Often a poet would have a stance on one side or another but on this case my side is clearly seen. But the answer is always down to the reader to find from their view of the poem.

Such as it is in todays poem, it is the reader that should provide their view. If folks feel like sharing such thoughts It would be very interesting But imagination I believe is a healthy tool to use in life, just as it will be in reading a poem like today’s one.

Having said all of this, Please Enjoy This Poem:

Changing Faces

Stuck between the lines drawn, both near and far,
Such experience fleeting more bizarre.
None could e’er recount should change yet take place,
Was it space devoid of life to replace?

What have you done? Thus Was it all for fun?
For this people share it, ne’er be undone.
Cats in the kitchen and mice on the wheel,
Forcing change made out of steel yet conceal.

For whom thus truth and lies combine to one,
With twisted words cast down yet spun and won.
Still you listened with love, no vacant stare,
But sitting here unaware, what affair?

Would reality strike with equal pace,
Thus lacking grace your changing face retrace.
From lofty heights, look down at clowns thus seen,
Footprints ne’er disguise where steps e’er had been.

Come now! Blur the lines once more, as your chore,
Define the being for truth has seen the score.
Eyes wide shut, not what you saw did not cut,
Doors showed your exit now boarded and shut.
