Love and Faith

INTRODUCTION:

Giving the season that is upon us or as the majority of the world will recognise as Christmas Season. Keeping my personal beliefs and feelings from this post, I wanted to continue from previous posts that touched on FAITH and BELIEVING in ONE Who Created all things.

Whether one believes or if one decides to be Non Believing or whatever other system of thought one may have. I decided to form a poem that carries a thought from the eyes of a Bible Believer and also keeping in mind that most will not believe as I do and may read the poem for the very sake of reading the poem itself.

This poem is carrying thoughts on FAITH and Believing in One who created all in times of need etc.

ABOUT THE POEM:

Like times before I started out moving in one direction writing this poem, BUT felt moved to change to the way it has finished in. So often poems I Liked creating and the end results of such poems are less received and less well received as it were. Same will be in this case, BUT This Time I am not stating which side I Stand on when it comes to how the poem turned out.

There are mentions to words or Phrases that those who are believers will recognise or even others may recognise. In many other poems I have placed Phrases, words and often a lose wording of a phrase that I would like mentioned in the poem to help strike home the thought I want to be fed as it were.

The difference being, that On this occasion I have started to mention that such words or phrases exist. On others Like the last poem I placed up a Phrase that I both heard growing up and what it actually means was what was been fed to that stanza in the poem. I have thouht that from here on I will at least give mention to such phrases etc In case that readers did not recognise or understand etc.

In both literature, poetry and often in terms of Faith Life has been seen as Sailing in a Boat from Port to Port, Such a mention in this case gives reference to that. Also one will find “Building On the Rock” being mentioned, This of course is reference to Bible scripture and also a thought that Jesus has often been spoken to as being The Rock etc. Thus that First Stanza should hold its meaning, thought and story pretty much at that.

In the folowing stanzas I continued to feed in the Thought and also the Topic of Faith. also using other references to scripture, either that being a more negative type thought or just used to solidify my thought for this poem. In later stanzas I switched thought as it were to focus more on Faith and the troubles some may find in any walk in life.

Obviously at times I have had to switch up some areas for rhyming reasons and to try make things fit in more. The final stanza may and in fact does look or feel more patched at it were, which is on purpose, Rather than sounding arrogant in the poem I needed to break the flow of the poems end for purpose of allowing the final thought to sink a little further. Of course the very last word is one placed there for rhyming reasons, yet aside from that It should pass as a reasonable poem.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

This current set up in inrtoducing the poem and giving a back story or Foreground for the poem, has been altered a little from my usual set up. I do hope this helps folks a little bit more. Any talk of Faith is not myself Pushing my beliefs onto folks, BUT instead my ways of using this belief in writing on it in a manner that fits what I love to do (which is write poetry) and also tying to let it into the open forum for thoughts and discussions without hammering it with Fire and Hammer and anvil type things. etc.

One mention to The Photographs I display on Poetry, I try as best as possible to display a Photograph that would best fit the theme of the poem OR one that fits into the general story of the poem in some way. whilst giving copyrite mention to whose who own such copyrite, which is most often the photographers

Love and Faith



Sailing out from port to another Court,
Building on The Rock which I thus report.
Setting foot on solid ground not enough,
When days got tough I could begin to bluff.


It would be grand to build it on the sand,
But trouble would land where I dare stand.
Those waters here run deep, such cost e’er steep,
Yet sitting at the wheel would cost some sleep.


I wandered in Faith, building the store full,
Sheltering from storms, has cost me some wool.
E’er the wolf had destroyed safety lays there,
With a will and a prayer, One does care.


In sights well seen and in sounds none compare,
You find a share beyond the square up there.
When feelings ache and shattered souls fair well,
And empty shell remains casting a spell.


Look through the winter skies one sits above,
The Shepherd stands alone with all His Love.
Ever simple as A.. B.. C.. believe,
Count your blessings here Saving grace.. achieve.

Thank you for joining me on this journey, which is my journey thoughwriting and learning more regarding composing poetry. They say that life is a journey which for me translates into poetry a journey onto itself.

Some of my poetry contain topics that at some point will or may not contain issues that readers either agree with or do not, or they have experienced or They will disagree with completely. YET that is completly fine by me. But Poetry is a form of art work that I enjoy and thus using it in a manner to touch or inspire the reader.
