Words & Thoughts Combine

As I have done many times before I composed poems with no real topic in mind except for a whole lot of minimal thoughts, Thus resulting in a poem from playfull work with words. Always a good exercise which works for me in finding words that fit in and also exercise in rhyming. But for me it works out when a poem comes together and maybe even resulting in a reasonably good poem.

It always feels pretty good when having a good story that fits in the reasons behind a poem being created, But on occasions it goes beyond. Having said that within this poem a number of little thoughts did enter the poem, but for the most part it has been an exercise in rhyming and also how a poem comes together.

I try on occasions to work on how my poetry comes together and using occasions like this to work on other littkle areas and basically practise my poetry on such instances and times. I do hope that either way it helps my poetry in the long run. But I do also hope that readers will enjoy the poem, even in such a poem that has for the most part been an exercise, it has been a poem that still carries a few little threads, but I hope that it does help the reader.

I hope that you enjoy this poem: I also enjoy feedback at times which builds me up a little.

Words & Thoughts Combine

Between a Rock and a hard place lays Faith,
Where the broken glass shards of life will wait.
Back at the crossroads, dark lands behind now,
“IF Thou would e’er allow” return BUT How?

Distant lands these silent hands thus admire,
Where Faith stands as fire one could but inquire.
Stand in the gap without reason to doubt,
There none e’er question or howl on about.

Spend a penny and find a pound around,
The lost and found ne’er keep what hit the ground.
The road back was blocked a load stopped and rocked,
Locked from roads desired left me fired and shocked.

On the road to no where finding some time,
Thinking sublime thoughts beaten by the climb.
Yet on the lake of tranquillity lost,
Rocking the boat in a storm without cost.

Lost for causes that break the mould on line,
Fit for design counting to nine divine.
Filtered wording beaten by counting this,
Faith remains upright regardless of bliss.
