Destined Forbidden

After a couple of days caught up in work that captured all of my time, both free and otherwise, I was unable to compose or post here, UNTIL now. But I sat here with a single thought in mind, where creative elements combined as it were with what is often seen as an over active imagination, resulted in todays poem.

Imagine if you will, having a friend with whom you trust and care for beyond all, and yet hold a love that goes beyond a boundary almost set from eternity, to remain forever untold. For the benefits of this poem the friends are male and female, Not for argument sake but for purposes of my imagination it remains like that.

This is where todays poem sets and grows. Combined with a memory of a Glacier lake set on mountain valleys all so often unseen and untouched. A beauty that is rare and unrivalled. Like the focus of the poem both meet as it were to stage this poem.

Having said all of this, Please Enjoy this little Poem:

Destined Forbidden

From the hillside spied a crystal clear lake,
It’s here that I stand when the land’s awake.
Cross the skies stilled as I look in her eyes,
They impress as thoughts start to crystalise.

Standing there yet still her hold captivates,
But forbidden another's true love gates.
Bouncing eyes and replacing in disguise,
When nobody cries and he never tries.

Gazing at the lake below I agree,
That beauty admires beauty, all for free.
The scent of her perfume flowed in the air,
Caught me without a care captured I swear.

Friendship’s fine line stood strong without a song,
Struggle hence to the limits of the throng.
As flames of her beauty reach even me,
Fly blind to the sea where all will agree.

Destined to love and forbidden to hold,
Mute in disguise ne’er to unfold or sold.
Bounties set in stone remain as one friend,
No thoughts can send where love still can ne’er spend.

Thank you for reading this post, I often use imagination combined with some form of creative elements to come up with some poetry, also at times using people or places I have seen or visited all to result in a poem, Much like todays poem. I believe imagination is a tool that can be used to great effect and use in our art.

Poetry for me is a constant learning curve that I constantly strive to improve. Often due to the speed of my typing and a few other issues mistakes and typos will find their way into published posts. I strive to work on improving this as I move along. My thanks for your understanding of this.

I ask as always that folks click on adverts when possible, the revenue from adverts is not very much but goes a way towards keeping this blog going. Thank you.

Until Next Time Cheers.

    1. I have been taking photographs for a few years now, with thanks from 2 daughters who are keen on photography. also I search firstly through my collections of photographs and then others for shots that resembled what I had in mind that a poem was relating to. there have been occasions that I was stuck for a photograph but then fitted the closest to that.
