Following recent times here with heat that was enjoyed by most, I had struggled for inspiration in which to compose a little poetry. But as has been the case on many occasions I came through the blockage of kinds. This is where I began to write a poem in which a narrator spends a lazy morning in such sunshine.
Where his mind wandered freely, This is where the poem takes the reader as the walk through tracks of thoughts, until The simple scent of roses in the air brought him back to reality.
In short that is what the poem below is about, as one who enjoy days in light rain and mellow temperatures, I found myself centered about the struggle to move from such heat that raises about my comfort zone. yet realising that seasons soon turn and change.

Lazy Musing in Sunshine
Spending lazy days in the summer haze,
When the heart’s ablaze but the mind a maze.
Patterns that change direction like the wind,
Here nothing is skinned or thus e’er be pinned.
The mind travels tracks left for lazy days,
But ne’er part ways as one who sits and stays.
Eyes that ne’er will be blinded in disguise,
Are fixed on birds now set on their next prize.
With the sunrise came the usual song,
Drowned out at times as some dogs sang along.
No morning lay in could be disturbed here,
The night heat left me longing for some cheer.
Idle hands sometimes keep a busy mind,
And wandering blind inside yet inclined.
To stroll through canyons long lost for all time,
That were memories still worth any climb.
To beat the drum here could now bring me cheer,
Yet little moves in heat confined in here.
Mourn not seasons turn wanting it to burn,
But the scent of roses had me return.
