Beyond the Veil

I sit here on a warm, windy day to put this post together, with one thought in mind. Or should I place it as a question, “Who does the Media serve? Soes the media Inform or Conform? The Media Train that is seen in force these days have shown this point to be clear.

Each country has at the very least one issue that has been or is a weight around the necks of the people, In the USA there is political issues of one variety or another, whilst in Ireland we have a growing housing crisis that has seen thousands of Irish people made homeless, whlst the government have in all but assisted this problem as rental markets have gone through to extortionate levels.

This happens while our government aid the influx of refugees and thus house them, whilst the irish are suffering and going homeless. Other countries have problems of other varieties, But the media only displays what is tasty and suitable to display. Only what is felt should be reported is therefore reported on.

Thus the Train That is the media of its variety of kinds, have become “Prostitutes” for disguising the truth. This is where todays poem was written from.It is NOT a poem against Refugees or Political truth etc. But settles there to encourage folks to look beyond any veil that sits alongside a story being pushed by the media.

For example, whilst the worlds media were focused on 5 individuals being trapped and died in a sardine can for a submarine, Hundreds died off the coast of Greece. Plus other stories that failed to make the pages or media news. The question for folks within this poem is, Do You Honestly Trust and believe all that the “Media Train” Shows? Or doe you look beyond the veil for truth or stories that make a difference.

Political type issues do not always make my poetry, BUT when I see a point where as a Poet I can encourage folks to look at more than what the train shows, before making ones mind upon an issue.

Having said all of this, Please enjoy this poem;

Beyond the Veil

Hidden behind the veil that hides all truth,
The train that forsakes the fountain of youth.
The unfailing design to inform all,
Found in the call or the ultimate fall.

Once in time without rhyme truth was the key,
Now sees beyond the tree change bends the knee.
To alter the course of all who enter,
And travel to where one finds the centre.

Here the veil distracts and hides what’s worth more,
The train becomes a whore, truth now a chore.
Where e’er it takes you peek beyond the veil,
Reason shows past the pale fitted to scale.

Now the train shows the veil to distract you,
Why join the queue for seeking what is true.
Fitted to size beneath blue skies, it fits,
Captivated by minimal, the blitz.

Behind the veil another lies in wait,
Scrape the plate of what you ate, not your fate.
Before your eyes in plain disguise, it stands,
Past the sands of time, it reveals the hands.

    1. It is certainly true that The media Train has gone the same way in most countries and now prostitute themselves for their own needs rather than for honesty and truth or any half good method. for example there has been issues here in ireland that media has refused to report on because it would definately look very bad on government. what we seek in media should now be found from others who also seek from media. etc

      1. This is what I am beginning to term the media prostituting themselves to governments and state rather than what I believe they shuld be doing. Thus they are losing the people who supported them in buying their media outlets / papers etc.
