Thoughts Lost At Sea

Over the past number of weeks and possibly further, there have been verses and stanzas that at the time failed to meet standards I set for myself. Today I have pieced all together and placed as one poem.

Sadly this means that I do not have any back story in which to fill in gaps to provide further understanding of the poem at hand. In it’s place the reader has a number of stanza’s in a poem that were set for an entirely different poem or poems.

I would be interested in reading what a reader takes away from this poem. If any reader wishes to share what they understand or takes from this poem, IF Anything, Feel Free to share it in Comments below.

If I were to share something I would say that much of it may have rather silly advice or portions that could be taken as advice. I am too critical of my own writing to break it down comfortable. That is without stating that it is far from my best, BUT taking into account that they come from a number of stanzas or portions of poems that failed to make the mark in their first creative output as it were.

Having said that, Please Enjoy this poem.

Thoughts Lost At Sea

Did you follow the stream from whence it flows,
For who yet knows to where it turns or goes.
Or yet step at the source and begin there,
Would one dare drink the waters clear or stare.

Who had yet noticed changes that altered,
As you wandered on by yet ne’er faltered.
Restrictions did nought to change where it went,
Without rent such little time spent no Cent.

Yet beyond your tale a challenge awaits,
And a care for fates remain past the gates.
Seasoned plans benefit the waiting game,
Accept the blame or pass it ne’er the same.

Paths that guide your way meander each day,
Do not stray from dreams which guide like a prey.
Believe dreams worth clay pushes play along,
Ne’er doubt ability wading belong.

Dreams made to follow through worthy of play,
Streams flow to rivers new some wash away.

    1. Thank you. Spelling is a constant issue with me due to both Slang of which I use quiet a lot of and Hiberno-English and the little differences in spellings there also then combined with my typos in typing pieces out..

Your break down of the poem is awesome.. some food for thought even for me.. Again thank you.
