Stumbling and struggling through a poem for a number of days, had me at wit’s end, as it were. But to begin with this poem came from listening to A song that one could find on Youtube or Spotify by Glen Campbell “A Daisy a Day”.. I will avoid any copyrite claims by staying clear of posting a link to this song. But It tells a tale of a Young Couple who walked in Love and with Love every day of their lives… The narrator in the song was a young boy in this time.. Eventually as ther grew older they still walked each day calling to a shop/ store along their walk.. Then in time The man alone walks as if he still was walking with her still. and he delivers a Daisy each day to her on a hill, which I presume was her resting place.. It is a story of true Love.. which inspired this Poem in a way.. Yet there was another aspect to this Poem that I set out below..
Preface
There are loves that arrive like lightning, loud, luminous, and swiftly named.
And there are loves that linger like morning light, unnoticed at first, yet faithfully returning.
This is not a tale of roses pressed between pages, nor of grand gestures set before watching eyes.
It is the remembrance of a love that walked quietly through ordinary days,
that chose steadiness over spectacle and built its brightness not in a single moment but in many.
I watched them pass through seasons and years, and learned that the truest love does not seek to be seen. It simply remains.

Steadfast Light
Unrivaled, bearing beauty beyond compare,
She moved through mellow morning air;
Her hair, a raven’s silken sweep,
Drew silent sighs she did not keep.
Though passing glances paused in praise,
She held her calm, unclouded gaze;
For at her side, through seasons’ span,
Walked quiet strength, a steadfast man.
No boastful word nor brazen claim
Proclaimed the passion of their flame;
Yet hand in hand through hush and haste,
They built a life of tender taste.
I watched them wander, year by year,
Through winter’s weight and summer’s cheer;
Not once did fleeting fancies rise,
Just faithful light in familiar eyes.
No single day their love defined,
No roses ruled nor ribbons twined;
It lived in labors, small and true,
In shared resolve the daylight knew.
For love that lingers, low and bright,
Outlasts the bloom of brief delight;
It dwells where quiet hearts agree,
In simple, steadfast constancy.
